M.A.C Ray of Sunshine Mineralize Glass Lip Gloss Review

All the the M.A.C Mineralize Glass Lip Gloss have translucent shades and there are about 12 shades in total. They can be layered to give a stronger colour, but you would not find any of them to be even near opaque. This is the reason that pretty much every shade will settle into and emphasize your lip lines to some extent. I feel neither the shades, nor the Mineralize Glass formula is that unique.

My Take on M.A.C Ray of Sunshine Mineralize Glass Lip Gloss:

This lip gloss is nude or translucent. It is medium dark in orange with brown undertones and has gold micro-shimmer. It gave a semi-sheer coverage with an uneven look and was not too noticeable from far.

My biggest disappointment about M.A.C Ray of Sunshine Mineralize Glass Lip Gloss is its packaging. The opening of the tube is significantly smaller than the other lip gloss tubes available. As a result, the small stopper wipes off a lot of product from the doe foot applicator, when you pull it out. I had to dip back into the applicator into the tube about 3 times to get enough product.

It stayed well for three hours on my lips. The formula of this lip gloss is very emollient and smooth on the lips. This gloss is not sticky and the formula is not thin or watery.

Pros of M.A.C Ray of Sunshine Mineralize Glass Lip Gloss:

• Semi-sheer coverage.
• Can be worn upto three hours.
• Very smooth on lips.
• Not sticky at all.

Cons of M.A.C Ray of Sunshine Mineralize Glass Lip Gloss:

• Not visible from far.
• Can be expensive for some.
• Need to apply 3-5 times for the desired shade.
• Not happy with the packaging.

I am not happy with the tube. Also, the shade is not visible on the lips from a small distance, until swiped 3 to 5 times. So, I deduct -.5 for each.

Would I Recommend M.A.C Ray of Sunshine Mineralize Glass Lip Gloss?
Yes, I would. It is one of those brown-orange shimmer shades that you would want to wear at some wedding function. Hence, you would not want to miss this product.
