Maybelline Clean Express Miracle Water Review

Skin Type- Combination to Oily; Sensitive Skin – No
As I said in my previous review it is all about “water” these days and trust me people with oily skin are more than happy. No matter how well they perform, oil based/bi-phased makeup removers always trigger the fear of getting breakouts. Not that they always give breakout, but they do activate the “breakout alarm”. Maybelline is really popular in South-East Asia and they had few new things which I wanted to try out and this is one of them. Read on to know how it fared for me.

Product Description:
Remove your makeup and keep skin hydrated with Maybelline’s new water-based makeup remover. No more double cleansing needed!

My Experience with Maybelline Clean Express Miracle Water:

The packaging is smart and simple; it is a tinted plastic bottle packaging with a solid white cap which shuts well, thus making this travel friendly. The details about the product are mentioned at the back of the bottle. The opening is small and hence it is easy to control the amount of product dispensed. As it is “water”, so there is no need to shake before using the product.

The miracle water works equally well for both regular and waterproof makeup; only thing is you have to wait for a while for the waterproof makeup to come off completely, especially from the eyes. It does take off the makeup but, you have to be a bit patient. I would not really call it an “express” makeup remover when it comes to waterproof makeup.

It does not irritate or stings eyes, which is good as it takes a while to break down the makeup. I quite like the fact that “water” is breaking down the makeup and giving a clean face. Unlike the bi-phased makeup removers, this does not leave any oily residue; hence there is no need to wash the face after taking off the makeup. Thankfully it does not strip off moisture, so you can take your time to add the moisture back to your face; you need not run for your moisturizer.
description

Overall it is a good product as it performs well; it takes time to remove the waterproof ones but patience is the key. If you do not like the oily residue of bi-phased makeup removers, it is a great option. Maybelline bring this to India soon.
