My Experience with Maybelline Master Duo 2-In-1 Glossy Liquid Liner Polished Green:

My first ever eyeliner was the Lakme insta liner. I have repurchased it multiple times over the years and I continue using it even now. I am quite comfortable with using liquid eye liners and I like them for the precision they provide. I was intrigued by the duo-brush concept of the Maybelline Master Duo 2-In-1 Glossy Liquid Liner ever since I saw the ad on TV!

The Maybelline Master Duo 2-In-1 Glossy Liquid Liner comes in 6 different shades. I wanted to try a different shade from my usual black liquid liner and hence bought the one in the shade “Polished Green.” The eyeliner comes in a conical shaped bottle, with the cap forming the top of the cone!

The applicator is not a regular brush applicator, but made of some kind of flexible material – maybe silicon? The brush is flexible enough but not overly so. The brush tip has a unique disc shape which is flat and can be used to create a thick line. If you turn it over 90 degrees, you can use the thin edge to create thin lines. It is a good concept of enabling you to create thin or thick lines with the same brush, without having to go over the line multiple times. I generally use a thinner line on the inner part of the lid and a thicker line on the outer part of the lid. This is perfect for that.

“Polished Green” is a forest green shade. It is a good color for office/regular use too, as it is not a very bright shade. The formula of this eyeliner is slightly runny. So people who are new to using liquid eyeliners may find it a bit difficult to control! Also, sometimes the formula seems to separate in the bottle. So it is better to shake the bottle before use to get a nicely pigmented line!

The liquid liner takes a few minutes to dry and dries to an opaque, glossy finish. This is a glossy liner as suggested by its name. Some people may not like a glossy finish, but I don’t mind it at all.

This eyeliner does not claim to be waterproof or smudge proof, but I did not face any issue with this. It lasted all day on my oily lids without any smudging or creasing. Moreover, my watery eyes (due to my contact lens) also did not cause this eye liner to move. It came out easily with just soap and water at the end of the day.

    1. It is a really pretty color, Nabanita! 🙂 But not available in India yet. *nababana* I checked Maybelline India site and could not find this *waaa*

    1. Thank you so much, Rati! 🙂 I have been drooling over your eotds that you have been posting over the past couple of weeks! So much to learn from you! Please keep inspiring us like this! *puchhi* *puchhi*

    1. Thanks so much, Anubhuti! 🙂 Actually, this is a glossy liner and looks glossy even after it dries. These eotd photos were taken around 4 hours after applying the liner. So you can imagine how glossy it looks even after drying. It is just the angle and lighting which makes it look ‘not-so-glossy’ in some photos! But it is a lovely color! Do try it if you get a chance! 🙂
