I recently went on a shopping spree thanks to the online Diwali sale! 😛 After getting the KeraShine HP8632 Styler, I planned on getting a straightener. I was going to buy the HP8316 straightener from Philips but then I stumbled upon this one, and I got really intrigued reading about the “Jojoba Oil Infused Ceramic Plates”. So instead of getting the one I mentioned, I got this one and I am really glad! 😀

Price:

Originally, the straightener is for ₹2,995 but I got it online for ₹2,041 😀

My Take On Philips KeraShine HP8317 Ceramic Keratin Hair Straightener :

I have really curly hair ranging from dry to frizzy. I have been wanting a straightener since a really long time since I’m bored of maintaining my hair.I was planning on getting the best straightener currently so that it stays for a long time with me without harming my hair. I was confused between Philips, Remington and Babyliss. But after reading many reviews of each, I ended up getting this straightener and I must say, it fits my needs perfectly!

The ceramic plates are Peach in colour and the straightener is Black with a little design in peach. As it was my first time straightening my hair, properly and professionally, it took me around an hour to complete.

The ceramic plates are wide in breadth and not in length, so it was easy to use without burning my hands. You must use a serum before straightening your hair to prevent it from damage in spite of what the straightener says. I did not experience any hair fall while using the straightener and that was a big plus point for me because when I go to the parlour I can just feel the stretching and pulling of my hair ending up in breakage. But while using this, there was no stretching, pulling and breaking. Simply brushing to sort my hair and smooth straightening 😀 My hair are long and a little thick in nature so by making sections, it was easier to straighten them (as you can see the difference in the pictures).

Even though I’ve got curly hair, it didn’t take me long to make them straight. Though, it did take a little more effort to make them poker straight but overall, I’m happy with the results.

1) Takes a little more time and effort to straighten curly hair.
2) The Jojoba Oil infusion starts to rub off from the first use.
3) Some people might find their hair feel dry even if the straightener makes them shiny and soft.

Conclusion on Philips KeraShine HP8317 Ceramic Keratin Hair Straightener :

I absolutely love this straightener. It’s my first ever and I am super proud to own it. It straightens my hair wonderfully without damaging it! I would totally recommend it to people. Don’t see the price and don’t care about the brand. The bottom line is that It’s effective, so go for it! 🙂

Tips for using Philips KeraShine HP8317 Ceramic Keratin Hair Straightener :

1) Never straighten your hair on wet or damp hair.
2) If you plan on straightening your hair after a bath, always blow-dry or towel dry your hair and once their completely dry, only then straighten.
3) Always use a serum or oil before using a straightener to prevent hair damage.
4) While straightening make sections of your hair for easier use.
