Rimmel London Match Perfection Concealer Review

Skin Tone: Fair to Medium

Hello sun-shines,

I usually use the same concealer for under eyes area that I am using for the face, but when I saw this concealer, I got attracted towards it because of the cute brush that it comes with. The “Match Perfection” range is one of the most-raved ranges from Rimmel, so I had to try it out. I picked up the shade “240” as it looked the best for my skin tone. Read on further for more details.

My Experience with Rimmel London Match Perfection Concealer:

Rimmel Match Perfection Concealer comes in a sleek, inverted tube with a blue packaging which is see-through. The range has 5 shades and the shade can easily be seen through the tube to distinguish the shades. The quantity is just 7 ml but that will go a very long way since this product is meant just for the under-eye area. The best feature about this concealer is the soft brush applicator which ensures proper application, but yet I have to pat the concealer with my fingers to achieve an even look. I have to make sure I don’t squeeze the tube a lot because then it ejects out a lot of the concealer which goes waste.

The concealer is neither too runny nor too thick. It is super creamy and goes gentle in the under-eye area. It does not feel heavy or cakey under the eyes but I have to set it with a setting powder since it looks a bit greasy and dewy which does not look great for the under-eye area. The shade that I picked up is for fair to light neutral skin tones. The shade is quite okay for me, but just one shade darker would have been better. If you have strong yellow undertones, then you should go for a darker shade and not this one. The coverage is medium and conceals 70% of my dark circles. It won’t impart a heavy-duty coverage since I have huge dark circles but if you have minor dark circles, then this will provide you full coverage. It brightens up my under-eye area and makes it look luminous. It does not itch or irritate my eyes.

The concealer stays for 3-4 hours with a setting powder and then it starts to fade and my dark circles start to look more prominent. The worst thing is that it settles in creases which does not look good at all. Overall, a good budget-friendly concealer to try!
