I am back with another post. Recently I got to know about a site that ships internationally, and to India as well. The shipping is free on orders over INR 2300. I was quite intrigued and happy to know about it as most of the websites have high international shipping charges. I had never tried any Sleek makeup product so decided to buy some.

About True Colour Lipsticks :

My Experience with Sleek Peaches and Cream True Colour Lipstick:

I’ll start with the packaging which is matte black with a glossy ‘Sleek Makeup’ written on the cap. It looks classy and I really liked it the first time I saw the lipstick. The size, given that it is 3.5 gms, is smaller than our usual lipsticks which is 4.2 gms. The shade name is written on the bottom. So, if you own more than one lipstick, you need to store them upside down for the ease of locating a particular shade.According to the Sleek website, the shade Peaches and Cream is a sheen creamy light peach ideal for an effortless fresh natural look. The shade is indeed peach but with a hint of orange in it. I bought it for the sole reason of wanting a perfect peach lipstick since months.

On application, the texture was smooth but still it could not provide an even application. I had not buffed my lips before so all my dry areas got enhanced. I re-applied after exfoliation and priming my lips, but the application was patchy again! The pigmentation was good though. It gave an opaque colour in a single swipe. But somehow, it kept being patchy and after a successful application, the shade washed me out! I really tried hard with this lipstick to look good on me in any way possible…but it just did not! I think it may only suit very fair complexioned girls. The only part I liked was that it was hydrating and didn’t dry my lips.The staying power is poor. It stayed for 2-3 hours after which it unevenly faded making me look horrible! All this means I am yet to find my perfect peach lipstick.

The Good about Sleek Peaches and Cream True Colour Lipstick:

• Nice classy packaging.
• Not tested on animals.
• Adequate pigmentation.
• Hydrating.

The Bad about Sleek Peaches and Cream True Colour Lipstick:

• Costly (we get better quality lipsticks at this cost).
• Patchy application.
• Poor staying power.
• This particular shade washes me out.
• Highlights all the imperfections of lips.
• Settles into the fine lines of lips.

Overall, I may…MAY try other shades from the range but definitely not recommend anyone to buy this one.
