The Body Shop Vanilla Brulee Shimmer Lotion Review

I’m here with another review for a TBS product & you need to read this one if you’re into smelling yummy plus all things glitter, like me 😉 After I bought the Frosted Cranberry Shimmer Lotion , I’m here again with another one. Although I’m not keeping it with myself, I just had to review it for you guys! Read ahead to know how it is 😀


Price :

₹895 but I got it online for ₹716.

My Take On The Body Shop Vanilla Brulee Shimmer Lotion :

So after I got the Frosted Cranberry, I wished for the Vanilla one to be better. But as it turns out, it wasn’t! Although the cream has a wonderful smell of Vanilla it doesn’t stay for a long time! The shimmer is too much for a pea-sized amount of the lotion. So I feel a drop or two, (max!) is the perfect amount for the shimmer and hydration. My hands smelt yummy as I applied the lotion and the hydration it gives is amazing even for my dry skin! The staying power of the shimmer is pretty good and the moisturisation, too, stays for a long time. But I couldn’t handle having 2 shimmer lotion bottles as they would stay with me forever then 😛 So I gave it away. But I would advise you to get it because it really is a nice product, the only issue is the shimmer because it transfers to everything you touch and once you’ve mastered the quantity for that, it’s a pretty good buy. The vanilla fragrance isn’t overwhelming so some people might like that 🙂

Strengths of The Body Shop Vanilla Brulee Shimmer Lotion :

•  Yummy vanilla fragrance! TBS gets it right always 😀
•  Great staying power of the lotion itself and the shimmer.
• Great moisturisation and hydration even for beauties for dry skin.
•  The quantity outlives the price.
•  It has a twist lock pump.

Flaws of The Body Shop Vanilla Brulee Shimmer Lotion :

• Too much glitter even for a pea-sized amount of lotion.
• Staying power of the fragrance is low.
•  The twist lock pump can break and therefore can be useless.
•  The pump might leak making it not so travel-friendly.
• The glitter transfers to everything you touch 😐
•  Can only be used for partying, movie nights and date nights and isn’t work-environment friendly.

Conclusion on The Body Shop Vanilla Brulee Shimmer Lotion:

It’s a nice-smelling body lotion. If you get the amount of the lotion right, you’re good to go. The shimmer looks good but only if there aren’t a lot. So a drop or two (not more than that!) will give you the right amount of hydration and glitter. I would suggest you to go for the Frosted Cranberry for a long staying power of the fragrance because the Vanilla fragrance starts to fade after a while & whereas the shimmer is concerned, both of them fair the same in that area. It can’t be applied for a work environment but can mostly for clubbing or date night. So, choose wisely. I would also suggest you to wash your hands (the palm area to be exact) so that whatever you touch doesn’t get glitter on it too.
