TIGI Bed Head Dumb Blonde Smoothing Stuff Review

Hi IMBBians,

I have been using TIGI products since forever.  I remember my mom used to get jumbo bottles of shampoos and conditioners. The only reason why I used to accompany her to TJ maxx was because they would keep huge jars of ice creams which they would have us taste :P and I got to pick one mega jar every time we went there :)

Product Description:

TIGI Bedhead Dumb Blonde Smoothing Stuff adds the perfect finishing touch to all hair types.  Created by blondes for blondes and all the other hair colours in between, Dumb Blonde Smoothing Stuff smoothes the hair cuticle and fights frizz in over processed hair. The high performance blend of ingredients work in synergy to restore moisture in colour treated and chemically processed hair whilst enhancing your hair colour and natural highlights.  Enriched with a fruity Papaya scent, Dumb Blonde Smoothing Stuff adds a radiant shine to the hair and leaves your style perfectly smooth, hydrated and sleek.  Dumb Blonde Smoothing Stuff also protects the hair from the dulling effects of UV damage.

My Experience with TIGI Bed Head Dumb Blonde Smoothing Stuff:

This is one of those products that you want to buy just for the way it looks. Pink candy frost! Yes that’s what comes to my mind when I look at this cutie pie. As you can see from the pictures, it’s a spherical jar, which opens, almost at its maximum diameter. They do put a hard paper kind of a thing at the base with the product packaging details on it which does support it and prevents it from rolling all over the place.

When you open it, “It’s all Good” :P  Like they are assuring you, don’t worry baby, we got all good stuff in here :P  So as you remove the lid, the product is of cream consistency. It looks super pretty.  It has got this pinkish tinge to it that you cannot resist.  TIGI products are known to have good smell. Now this one, I would say is one of my favourites. It smells like a strawberry cream smoothie. Trust me, blindfold me and put this in front of me, I will eat it, not even kidding. It smells that good!

So, I need like a pea-sized amount for my hair.  I would spread this on my palms and work it into the ends of my hair starting from below the ears till their end. Then whatever is left on my palm, I would just sweep on top of my head just to tame the baby hair and random fly aways.

I notice, that this product lives absolutely up to its claims. It tames down my crazy frizziness, makes my hair look smoother and shinier. It does all this without weighing my hair down. So, you don’t feel as if you have put a ton of product into your hair. I can actually go for a couple of days with this product in my hair, and the effects do seem to last a little bit.

TIGI Bed Head Dumb Blonde Smoothing Stuff 6

Why this product says it is for blondes is because, it has these tiny iridescent shimmers to it, which actually do not show on dark hair absolutely, but are said to be good for blonde hair which tends to get brassy. So, yes you are guessing it right, if you have light highlights on your hair, this product will be great for you as well.  Also, don’t be fooled by its size. This little jar is going to last you a very long time.

Pros of TIGI Bed Head Dumb Blonde Smoothing Stuff:

  • Cute pink candy frost packaging.
  • Lovely smell.
  • Leaves your hair shiny and smooth.
  • Little bit goes a long way as you do not need a lot of product.
  • Great product to tame down the small baby hair and fly aways.
  • It makes your hairstyles last longer.
  • Has good UV protection in it.

Cons of TIGI Bed Head Dumb Blonde Smoothing Stuff:

  • May make hair greasy if you put more than required. Depending on your hair length, you need to practice and ultimately figure out the amount which works the best for you.
  • Not really suitable for beauties who have very thin hair.
  • Only a few salons and online stores sell them. It is not found easily in supermarkets, etc.

IMBB Rating:

5/5.
