Wet n Wild Coloricon Kohl Eyeliner in Simma Brown Now Review

I have another eyeliner review for you today and this is another shade from the new and improved Wet N Wild Coloricon Kohl Eyeliner line. I hope you guys are not bored with reviews of products from the same line but in different shades! These eyeliner pencils are so easy on the pocket that I cannot help but sneak another one into my basket whenever I go shopping and then of course tell my IMBB family all about them as well. If you have read any of my previous Coloricon Kohl Eyeliner reviews, you may notice that this one looks differently packaged than the others, however, I promise you that this is indeed the same product, so hold on to your seats and let’s get started!

Product Description:
This longer than your average eyeliner pencil is also skinnier than your average eyeliner pencil. While it would make for an interesting hair accessory in your bun, let me tell you more about its use as an eye liner. The wooden body of these pencils is the colour of the shade making for easy identification if you have lots more of these skinny and tall eyeliner pencils standing in a cup on your makeup table. The transparent plastic cap is simple and efficient and this product is very lightweight.

I am not sure why this particular shade is packaged with this cardboard backed packaging because all the other 4 shades I have bought were just wrapped in plastic. I think it just varies from store to store and I also think that I prefer this packaging to the just-wrapped in plastic version. The reverse of this packaging also explains how these new eyeliners have been revamped and re-marketed. The packaging also says cruelty free on the back so for all you animal lovers out, there this is a bonus!

My Experience with Wet n Wild Coloricon Kohl Eyeliner in Simma Brown Now:

This is my fifth and possibly final eyeliner purchase from the “Coloricon Kohl Eyeliner” line. I guess I do need a change and have experimented enough with these kohl pencils. Plus I do not want to bore you all with every shade there possibly is! There have been some good times and some not so good times with these Wet n Wild creations and for a dollar a pop, I have not regretted any purchase. It has been exciting to find ways to incorporate these eyeliners into my makeup routine. Again, I have to mention the name of this shade, I love it when companies come up with unique names for their shades!

Colour: This shade “Simma Brown Now” is a deep brown shade as you can tell from the name and is almost like the colour of a wooden mahogany finish dresser. This is a tricky colour to play with because it is a very deep shade, but I love an eye liner challenge any day!

Finish and Pigmentation:  This eyeliner has a matte finish, so it’s free from any shimmer and sparkle. The colour payoff on this bugger is really good. The pigmentation is strong and one swipe gives a really dark colour. You do not need to go over this more than once unless it is to perfect your eyeliner wing.

Texture and Ease of Use:  This wonderful eyeliner pencil has a nice creamy consistency with just the right waxiness. It glides on super easily and super smooth and does not offer any drag or resistance whether it be on the eyelid or waterline. There is also no funny smell to this product.

Performance: Unlike some of its counterparts in this line, this particular shade has never flaked on me. Also, because the colour pay off is good, I do not need to repeatedly sharpen this to use. I have to mention that due to the diameter of this pencil being very small, it is difficult to sharpen these pencils in a cosmetic sharpener and there is some wastage of product, but since it’s $1 per pencil, it does not pinch. You almost want to finish the pencil fast and go try another shade from the line.

Staying Power and Removal:  What is amazing is that a minute or two after this eyeliner pencil is applied, it will not budge on my oily lids. This has lasted me all day long! But due to its creamy nature, if you were to rub your eyelids, it would transfer and smudge a little bit. Any makeup remover easily removes this eyeliner in a single swipe.

I use this eyeliner regularly as a brown kajal pencil. I do not find it easy to use on the eyelids because the shade is quite tricky to use there. I think this can also double up as an easy-to-use brow pencil because it is quite waxy and the shade is pretty close to my Anastasia Dipbrow Pomade that I have reviewed on IMBB earlier. It just needs to be brushed through quite thoroughly if being used on the brows because it is so intensely pigmented.

• Very smooth to use, virtually no drag.

• Nothing for now!

Would I Repurchase Wet n Wild Coloricon Kohl Eyeliner in Simma Brown Now?
No, but only because I own five of these eyeliners and I need a break and a change from Wet n Wild.  Also, these are pretty long, so travelling with these is annoying; they do not fit in my small cosmetic bags.

Would I Recommend Wet n Wild Coloricon Kohl Eyeliner in Simma Brown Now?
Definitely! The waxy nature of this product makes this an eyeliner plus brow pencil so why not own something that costs only $1 and can do so much!
