5 Best Homemade Almond Face Packs

5 Best Homemade Almond Face Packs

Almonds are a rich source of Vitamin E and they help soften and nourish the skin.Currently these are my most fav thing to use for dark circles and whitening, take a look at 5 best ways to use soaked and crushed almonds for skin care.

Oats and almond pack:

Take the dry almonds and pulse it in a blender a couple of times. You should get an almond meal which looks like the consistency of wet sand. Add the oats to the almond meal and pulse it again. You should get a nice powder consistency. That’s it! Take the meal out and add yogurt, honey and apply to your face. Easy peasy, right? I usually exfoliate my face using a face scrub before applying the face pack for better results. Leave the pack for about 15 minutes or until the pack feels dry completely. Resist the urge to go and scare your hubby with your pack on 😛 .The pack also smells super yummy!!After the pack is dry, I usually wet my face with water and slowly start rubbing in circular motions to remove the pack. This seems to exfoliate and massage my skin really well and makes the skin super soft.”

Almonds and kesar milk pack:

Take a bowl and add milk, some kesar strands and three almonds to it. Let it soak overnight in the fridge, the almond need to get soft and the kesar should yellow the milk well, I am not sure how long should kesar be soaked but I soaked them overnight.Next day, remove the almonds and peel the skin, and crush them like so and keep them aside.Take some gram flour or besan in a bowl to bind the pack, add crushed almonds to it. Add the milk to it to make a face pack consistency.Done, use it for 15 minutes or wash off before it feels dry, or else you will have a hard time removing it.It gave me instant glow, skin was clear of oil, and look pinky white.I have red-der undertones so the pigmentation and patchiness was way better.Almond acted as a light scrub too and milk moisturizes and lightens, saffron lightens too.The version below is with yogurt but I keep varying.

Papaya and Almond Smoothing Scrub Pack

Take a few papaya slices and mash them well with a fork. You may also puree it in the blender for a smoother consistency. I used the blender.
• Add a spoonful of fresh milk cream.
• Take a handful of almonds and pound them in a mortar and pestle till they are grainy in texture. You may even use a grinder, I did that. Add about a spoon of this almond meal into the papaya mixture.
• To hold this all together I’ve used a spoonful of gram flour. You may use any other binder of your choice like rice flour/ oatmeal, etc.
• Finally, add a spoonful of honey.
• Mix everything well and your scrub pack is ready to use.

Almond and milk face pack :

This is a simple classic and can be used for dark circles too.Soak almonds overnight, make a smooth thick paste next day of peeled almonds and apply it on the face, this is great for under eyes and for dry skin and pigmentation too.

Banana almond and rose water face pack:

Mash half a banana and use the same almond milk paste soaked overnight, add a few drop of rose water to it, this pack is ideal for most skin types to get softer and even skin tone, do try it.
