You can try different medications to cure constant foot ache, but there are few easy, quick and useful home remedies too. Let’s have a look at some of the most easy and efficient remedies to treat foot pain and to get of that embarrassing smell.

1. Hot Water and Green Tea

You Need:
• Warm water in a tub
• Green tea

Method:
• Take a tub filled with lukewarm water and submerge your legs into it for few minutes.
• Now remove your legs and change the water.
• Fill the tub with lukewarm water again and add some green tea leaves into it.
• Soak your feet for 15 minutes.

2. Hot and Cold Water

Hot and cold water therapy can really be effective in treating foot pain.

You Need:
• Hot Water
• Cold water

Method:
• Fill one bucket with hot water and another with cold water.
• Now dip your feet in cold water for few minutes and then take your legs out.
• Now dip your feet in hot water for at least 10 seconds. Repeat the whole process for two to three times and end with cold foot bath.
• Now rub some ice over your feet for 10 minutes, which will alternately reduce the heat for 10 minutes.

3. Vinegar

Vinegar is used in various treatments and can help with foot pain caused due to sprains or strains as it reduces inflammation.

You Need:
• Vinegar
• Tub filled with hot water
• Epsom salt

Method:
• Fill a tub with hot water. Add two tablespoons of vinegar in it. You can also mix sea salt or epsom salt in it. If you do not have any of these, just use half a spoon of table salt. Soak your feet for about 20 minutes.

4. Epsom Salt

Epsom salt is extremely beneficial for your feet as it helps in soothing feet and can also provide you instant relief from pain.

You Need:
• Epsom salt
• Tub filled with warm water

Method:
• Put two to three tablespoons of epsom salt in a tub of warm water.
• Soak your feet in the tub for 10 to 15 minutes.
• The salt can make your feet dry, so apply some moisturizer afterwards.

Ice therapy is a good way to reduce pain and swelling.

You Need:
Crushed Ice

Method:
• Take a small amount of crushed ice and put it in a small plastic bag. Now use this plastic bag to massage over the affected area and move it in circular motion. If you want an alternative, you can also use a bag of anything frozen, like frozen vegetables. Wrap it in a thin towel and use it over your legs.
• The cold temperature will temporarily numb the nerves ending which will give a relief and also help to soothe the area. If you are using an ice pack, don’t use it for more than 10 minutes as it can damage your skin or sometime even nerves.
• Do not use an ice pack for more than 10 minutes at a time; longer use can damage the skin and nerves.

6. Clove Oil

Clove oil is highly effective in treating joint pains, nail fungus, headaches, athlete’s foot, and also helps to boost blood circulation over foot which helps to relieve pain.

Method:
• For quick relief, gently massage your aching feet with clove oil. This will stimulate blood flow and relax your muscles. You can massage your heels as well as with clove oil several times a day.
• If you have sensitive skin or even have a cut, you can dilute three drops of clove oil and mix it with one teaspoon of extra virgin olive oil or use coconut oil as an alternative.

Cayenne pepper is a rich source of capsaicin, which is known to relieve muscle aches and pains, lower back pain, arthritis, aching feet and also helps to treat muscle strain.

Method:
• If your feet ache when they get cold, sprinkle some cayenne pepper in your socks before putting them on. This will help to keep relieve foot pain and also would keep it warm.
• You can follow another treatment – add half or one teaspoon of cayenne pepper powder to a bucket half filled with hot water and then soak your feet in it for a few more minutes. This will have a soothing effect and give you relief from pain.
