8 Ways To Whiten Nails At Home

Hii IMBBians,

Nails are a very important accessory for a woman. We love decorating our nails with colours and other art and styles. But with regular usage of nail paints, our nails tend to become yellow and can look stained. And yellow nails appear quite unpresentable and untidy. But do you know that we can whiten nails also? There are many ways to turn yellow nails into white naturally and quite easily.
Thus, let’s have a look at some below given easy peasy remedies using which you can get white nails easily at your home:

8 Ways To Whiten Nails At Home

1. Whitening Toothpaste:

You have various kinds of whitening toothpaste available in the market. Take a baby toothbrush and scrub your nails lightly using the whitening toothpaste. White toothpaste works better in cleaning your yellow nails as compared to red, green and blue toothpaste. You can try this easy peasy scrub multiple times a day depending on the condition of your yellow nails. You can also add baking soda into it to make the scrub more effective.

2. Lemon Juice:

Lemon juice is very strong and has acidic properties. Thus, what you can do is that prepare a solution of lemon juice and dip your nails for some time into the solution. Let it rest for about 10-15 minutes and then with a baby toothbrush you can scrub the nails. This will gradually take away the yellow stain or any other infections if any, on your nails.

3. Denture Cleaning Tablets:

Denture cleaning tablets are one of the easiest ways to whiten nails at home. They contain two of the most active ingredients which are citric acid and sodium bicarbonate. You just need to dip 2-3 denture cleaning tablets in the bowl and dip your nails in the solution. You can also gently scrub it using a baby toothbrush.

4. Hydrogen Peroxide:

Hydrogen Peroxide is a fabulous whitening agent. But you must make sure that you use only 3% of the product else the solution might become too acidic and thus harmful to your skin and nails. Make a solution of hydrogen peroxide and water and dip your nails in it. Let it rest for a good 5-8 minutes and then wash off the solution with normal water. You can also lightly brush or scrub the nail skin if you have excessively yellow nails.

How about using vinegar for your nails? Just take a cotton and dip white vinegar solution on your nails. Gradually you will see that the nails have returned back to their original self and are no more yellow. You can also try to make a white vinegar solution and dip your nails into it.
