I hope everyone is preparing for New Year eve. Anyways, I did a bit of online shopping some time ago, the product I am going to review today is a part of it. Today I am going to review Anna Andre Deluxe Creme lipstick 40205. I was really eager to buy a lipstick in a pencil form and I also wanted it to be easy on pocket so I decided to buy this lipstick. Read on to know more about this lippy.

Product description: Keep that pout ever-glossy and smooth all day long with its special formula that stays true and doesn’t transfer or feather for hours. This shade belongs to the family of purple.

Packaging: The lipstick comes in a retractable pencil form. It has a transparent cap. The lipstick is very lightweight and easy to carry and hence travel friendly. Since it is in pencil form it is easier to apply I don’t need a lip brush.

Price: INR 220

Ingredients: Hydrogenated Coco glycerides, Copemicia Cerifera (Camauba) Wax, Paraffinum Liquidum, Cera Microcrystallina (Microcrystalline wax), Lanolin, Silica, BHA, Methylparaben, CI 77491, CI 42053, CI 77492, CI 77510, CI 77019.

Texture: The lipstick is creamy, smooth and decently moisturising. Since it is a dark coloured lippy it is nicely pigmented, one swipe gives true colour and covers pigmentation. It didn’t settle in fine lines and did not stain my lips. It coats my lips evenly.

Odour: If you smell closely it has wax crayon like smell. The smell is not bothersome you will not feel it however; I like my lipsticks with fragrance.

My Take on Anna Andre Deluxe Creme Lipstick 40205:

Since I purchased this lipstick online I was not sure of the shade though I knew it will be purple. It is a nice glossy purple shade but it is a little dark for my taste. The lipstick is decently pigmented and moisturised my lips for good 3 hours. It stayed on my lips for 2-3 hours after which it began to fade. This lipstick contains minute shimmer particles which gives it a glossy and glamorous finish. The lipstick is not a pain to remove but the shimmer stayed on my lips even after removing the lipstick. The lipstick did not settle in fine lines and is easy to remove too. It didn’t tug my lips. It feels very light on lips. I feel that this shade is particularly a night time shade or it can be worn with clean face and neutral eyes as the shade itself is too eye-catching and dark. Though it looks mauve on my lips but it is actually dark purple.

Although the lipstick stayed decently on my lips, it did get transferred too. It is not exactly transfer proof and it makes the lipstick fade even more quickly so if you are eating and drinking with this lipstick on your lips then you will need a touch up more frequently. Its pencil form makes it easy to apply hence, no need of lip liners and brushes. A good thing about this lipstick is that despite being a dark shade it did not bleed and it fades evenly too. So, all in all it is a decent lippy with decent features and price.

• Shimmer stays on the lips even if the lipstick is removed.
• It will barely survive a meal and drinks.

Do I recommend this lipstick?

Well of course YES, this is a nice lipstick especially considering the price. It fares decently on all aspects like, pigmentation, staying power, texture etc. hence, worth giving a try. There are many shades to choose from.
