Aveeno Positively Radiant Cleanser Review
Hello from Australia,
I am just relaxing this weekend, nothing planned. Sometimes I feel life is just too fast, it’s a luxury to just do nothing on a weekend. The weather is cold and rainy, can’t wait for spring, but it’s two months away. I hope the start of the weekend is good for you guys. I’m going to review one of the cleansers I am using at the moment – Aveeno Positively Radiant Cleanser. This product is different from the foaming cleanser – as this is a gel-based cleanser.
A line of facial products that utilises the naturally active benefits of soy to even out skin tone and texture and reveal skin’s true radiance naturally. Aveeno scientists created a unique way to process the soybean to retain its naturally active benefits. The soybean processing ensures minimal loss to heat or refinement, which provides a concentrated form of the whole soybean. With moisture-rich soy, the soap-free cleanser lifts away dirt, oil and makeup without over drying for naturally radiant skin.
Around AUD 10.
My Experience with Aveeno Positively Radiant Cleanser:
Aveeno’s Positively Radiant Cleanser can be found at all drugstores in Australia. It comes in a 200 ml bottle and the product is discharged by using a pump. One nice feature of the pump is that it locks and actually stays that way, and is also very sturdy. This feature is suitable for travelling. This cleanser is oil free and soap free. Texture-wise, it’s gel like with a pearlescent golden sheen, which is very unique. The pump doesn’t allow too much cleanser to escape, so it’s easier for you to control the amount you want to use. I use 2 pumps for my face and neck as this product foams quite well.
This cleanser is not specific for one skin type. According to the brand, it is good for any skin type. However, I suggest only combination and normal skin people use it as it might be a tad drying for dry skin beauties.
I was wondering what causes the glittery sheen on the product, and it apparently is mica which is included in the product. Apart from adding golden glow to the product, this does not serve any other purpose. I did not feel this product made my skin feel permanently radiant, but gives a temporary glow.
However as a cleanser, this product works very well and removes dirt, grime as well as all traces of face makeup. (I haven’t tried this on my eyes though).
Pros of Aveeno Positively Radiant Cleanser:
- This product is oil free, soap free, non comedogenic and hypo allergic.
- Comes in a sturdy bottle with a firm pump which can be locked.
- Cleanses skin well and removes makeup and dirt.
- Does not dry skin if you have normal or combination skin.
- Contains the goodness of soy to moisturize and brighten skin.
- Price is reasonable.
- Has a very gentle fragrance.
Cons of Aveeno Positively Radiant Cleanser:
- Might be drying if you have dry skin.
- Might not be easily available in India.
If you are looking for a good cleanser which does not irritate skin, please give this a try.
