Ayur Shahi Ubtan Face Pack Review

Ayur Shahi Ubtan Face Pack

Heya gurls!

Today’s review is about the popular Ayur Face Pack – Ayur Shahi Ubtan Face Pack.
A lot of face packs from Ayur are already reviewed on IMBB and has garnered such positive reviews, My sis is a big fan of their Mint Face Pack, and she too gave good feedback about it. So I had to go get one. Without much ado, let’s see what this Face Pack does.

My take on Ayur Shahi Ubtan Face Pack:

I am big fan of Lotus face packs! They suit me to the T and I never ventured out of lotus, because I was satisfied with them. But I do experiment once I a while with face washes and stuff, and this one proved to be a winner all the way!!

Though it is a face pack, it says it can be used all over the body and helps in superfluous hair removal, I really can’t vouch for that as I have just used it for a couple of times. It claims to make the skin soft and supple and it sure does! And is not drying at all!

It imparts a slight temporary glow to my skin, which most of the Ayur face packs do, and also provides cooling sensation on when applied on my skin.
Ayur Shahi Ubtan Face Pack (5)

The powder is not very smooth and it has a coarse texture. I totally love using this as a body scrub! It is excellent for that though it doesn’t claim to!

The only thing that I dislike about this product is that it has a very weird Besan-mixed-with-milk smell! I totally hate the smell of milk which is intolerable for me.. Apart from that, it does a pretty good job!

So here’s summing it up:

What I like about Ayur Shahi Ubtan Face Pack:

  • It’s texture! Very easy to use it as a body scrub and pack too!
  • Cleanses well!
  • Cooling sensation, very much needed in face packs!
  • Imparts slight glow temporarily.
  • No chemical ingredients. It’s such a solace to know that you aren’t using too m any chemicals on your face!

Ayur Shahi Ubtan Face Pack (7)

What I don’t like about Ayur Shahi Ubtan Face Pack:

I hate the SMELL! Anything that smells Milky is such a big turn off for me!

IMBB Rating: 4/5

Would I recommend  Ayur Shahi Ubtan Face Pack?

Yes yes! Lot of already know about these, others who haven’t tried, please do give a try!

Would I repurchase Ayur Shahi Ubtan Face Pack?

If I see any improvement in the hair growth decrease claim, I surely will!

  1. nice review *clap* … But i prefer to stick around with my home made face packs *nababana* …. Nothing can beat that *duel* ….

      1. I second you guys, but see, for a lazy bum like me it’s way too difficult to even put together all ingredients required to make an effective face pack at home *spank* . So i resort to these ready made ones. While some click, some fail. And my sis at home (who btw is even lazier than me :P) was pestering me since long to get some from this brand, cuz even lotus breaks her out! So it was worth the try. I use this more on my body than face, while lazing at home on weekends *shy*

  2. yayy i am first to comment *happy dance* *happy dance* *happy dance* *happy dance* *happy dance* *happy dance* *happy dance*

    1. me neither ila, i hate them to the core! Just cant stand its smell! But the good it does on my skin, i adjust by spraying some lavender in my room! I hate it so much! *headbang* *headbang* *headbang*

    1. i know Kalyani! Till they use it themselves, they wouldn’t realise how much better it is than most other chemically loaded FPs. I too felt the same before trying it out, but thanks to IMBB, after reading quite a few reviews, i somehow felt i should try it out! Glad it worked for me *powder* *powder* *powder*

  3. Sushma, you mentioned it smells of Besan with milk, while I dont mind the smell of milk (I love it actually!), I am severely allergic to raw besan and can never ever use it on any part of my skin. So my question is does this face pack actually contain any besan? If it does, this pack will be a complete waste for me! I have tried asking the shop assistants but they are never able to give any satisfactory answer. 🙁

    1. Preeti, Yes. It has besan, i guess that’s the base ingredient in this! *silence*
If besan is allergic, nevermind. They have a whole range of face packs with out besan too. Try them 🙂

  4. This seems nice… but i hardly buy face packs coz home made are so much better 😀 but i think i’ll still give this a try 😛 *thankyou*

    1. Try it Vidhi, you might find something that works for you, might come handy when you are in a hurry or just have no mood to make one at home 🙂
