Today’s review is about Balenciaga B. Body Lotion. Balenciaga, as many of you might know, is a high-end French brand. It’s close to 100 years old and an expensive brand, at least for me. I had fallen in love with one of its perfumes a few years ago, which is on my wishlist for some time now. Some time ago, we had gone out shopping and my husband asked me to pick up whatever I wanted as a gift from him. He also said that the offer was valid only for that day. So I went looking for expensive products and found this body lotion which looked and smelt just like that perfume. So I ended up getting it. Here is the actual review now.

What it does:
A green woody fragrance, B. represents a woman unveiling her most essential self. The more she reveals, the more intriguing she becomes. The composition opens with notes of lily of the valley bell and edamame accord. As the fragrance evolves, the iris note reveals a powdery essence before drying down to darker woody notes of cashmeran woods.

My Experience with Balenciaga B. Body Lotion:
The packaging is very catchy. I love the black and white combination. It comes in a hexagon shaped plastic bottle. It has a small twist cap in black. It looks more like an aftershave bottle. The plastic bottle does not feel like other normal plastic bottles. It has a texture to it and feels soft but very sturdy. One has to pour the lotion out to use it. There is no pump dispenser. I would have preferred a pump dispenser, though. The bottle is a keeper. I am going to keep it forever. It feels and looks classy on my dressing table.
The lotion itself is white in color. It spreads very well on the skin and smells amazing. I would not say that it moisturizes very well. Going by the cost, I use tiny amount so that it lasts longer. The consistency of the lotion is what I hate the most. It feels a little cloudy and slightly sticky. I wish it were runnier. The fragrance is what I chose the product for. I feel extremely sophisticated with this fragrance. The main notes of this lotion are lily of the valley, violet green leaves accord and green edamame accord.
The fragrance lasts 2 hours or so and then it slowly fades away. I wish it lasted longer. Since this moisturizing effect is not very effective for me, I use it on my arms and hands on special days or when visiting friends. It feels more like a perfume than a body lotion to me. I feel this way I am getting the best out of the product. Since it’s expensive, I do not think I would repurchase it. But it makes a romantic gift for someone you love. Now, I need that Balenciaga perfume badly!

I don’t think so. I like the fragrance, but it’s not worth the money.

If you do not mind shelling out extra money for a body lotion then give it a try. You will definitely feel that “rich” tag attached.
