Product Description:

This one of the medical herbs which nature has given us. It helps preservation and enhancement of beauty. Tulsi powder when rubbed on face like a talcum powder removes light and dark spots on the face and when applied as a paste it opens up the pores of skin flushing out dirt in them through perspiration leaving the skin radiant, soft, clear and free from odoriferous substances.

My Experience with Banjara’s Tulsi Powder:

When I was in twelfth grade, I had discovered the benefits of Tulsi for acne prone skin and I loved using it. It helped me in keeping my skin glowing, healthy, pimple free. I got this  dry face pack last month when I had a terrible breakout. It promised to help with acne and pimples by getting rid of the microorganisms present in the skin.

The powder is not fine, just like any dried and powdered herb would feel like. It is mustard green in color and smells exactly like tulsi does. I made a thin, almost runny paste out of the powder by mixing it with water a couple of times and rose water quite many times and applied it on my skin. The application was not smooth, as it was not a fine powder. It dried up in about fifteen to twenty minutes. I, one made a thicker paste and it refused to dry out completely before forty-five minutes.

Washing it off was very easy. The first time I used it I failed to notice any change, which did not bother me because tulsi leaves require regular usage for the benefits to show. I continued using it and now it’s been about a month and I’m yet to see any of the claims that are true. It did not dry up pimples, neither did it stop new ones from forming. No glowing skin either.
I tried rubbing the dry powder on my skin and there has been a minor decrease in the dark spots but I know of better face packs that can get rid of spots almost entirely after a couple times of their use. I mixed this powder up with neem , lemon juice and a couple more ingredients that a friend of mine had suggested and I loved the effects. I tried using fresh tulsi and the results were the same. So, after I’m done with this box, I’m planning to use fresh tulsi instead. I would not recommend this product to any one.

Pros of Banjara’s Tulsi Powder:

• Cheap.
• I coupled it with a few more ingredients like neem, lemon juice etc and it worked wonders for my acne ravaged skin. Will do a DIY tutorial soon.
• Rubbing dry Tulsi powder on my skin did help in reducing spots on my skin, but not enough to convince me to get this powder again.

Cons of Banjara’s Tulsi Powder:

• It did not help in any way with pimples. Neither does it dry up the existing ones nor does it stop the formation of new ones.
• I did not find the radiant, soft, glowing skin that I was promised.
• Availability might be an issue.

IMBB Rating:

2/5

Will I Repurchase Banjara’s Tulsi Powder:

It did not work for me per se. However, coupled with a few more ingredients it worked wonders for me. After I am done with the box, I am planning to start using real Tulsi leaves for my pack. So, no, I am not going to buy it again.

Who will I Recommend Banjara’s Tulsi Powder:

No one, I’d suggest using fresh Tulsi leaves paste instead.

  1. girls… pls dont use these ready made powders available in the markets. Most of them have fillers and preservative which do more harm than show any positive effect on the skin. DIY remedies are always the best. They are really tedious and time consuming but give the best results
