Bare Essentials Hand and Nail Brush Review
It’s been long since I have written here 🙁 main reasons being work (laziness doesn’t count okayyy 😛 😛 😛 )
Although there are many articles in draft mode, I just decided to do this first, simply because I want to. :silly: Okay bak bak khatam, review shuru 😀
I got this brush from some random store in Pune because I thought it looked nice and would be fun to use. And I don’t regret one bit of it. Since going on (read spending obnoxious amounts of money on) manicures is not my cup of tea, I do my own TLC at home itself and this has become an integral part of it now. The Bare Essentials Hand and Nail Brush 🙂
(The brush is in a sad state now because it is old and that means I have been using it regularly so my review should make sense 😛 😛 😛 😛 )
What the company says – This is perhaps the softest nail brush available. Always work away from the cuticle towards nail tip to avoid damage to cuticles. For extra clean nails, brush every day in the bath or shower. This will help shed dead skin cells and stimulate circulation and nail growth.
Price – Rs 70-90. I have no idea how much I got it for.
This is how the two sides look.
So, basically this has two sides – one hard (the lesser one) and one soft (the fuller one). The hard side is great for cleaning the underside of nails. It has a gap in between the two rows of bristles so your nail just fits in. The soft part is great for scrubbing the delicate area of fingers. It removes dead cells and also helps to increase blood circulation in that area .Err… this is my observation… When I use this regularly, nails grow faster so that might be due to blood circulation. I use in the shower every alternate day.
As mentioned it is advisable to use cuticle to nail tip direction. I used reverse once and my hands looked pathetic with broken cuticles . 🙁
Pros of Bare Essentials Hand and Nail Brush
1. Does its job. You have healthy, clean, human looking hands.
2. Very decently priced
3. The bristles are of good quality, a little shedding yes but only after 3-5 months.
4. Is very handy, no fuss. Just keep in the bathroom shelf and you are sorted.
5. Gives your hands a nice firm massage. It relaxes tired hands.
Cons of Bare Essentials Hand and Nail Brush
The only and the biggest con is that the wood starts cracking after sometime. The bristles too start slipping out through the cracks. I have left it soaking wet sometimes but then its almost impossible to use in the shower and keep it dry at the same time. And you cannot use it dry, it will hurt. So anyways water will have to be used with it.
I absolutely love this thing .It’s useful, cheap and cute too. 😀
Will I Repurchase – YES!! If I find one, no BE in my city.
Rating – 4.5/5 (0.5 cut for cracking and shedding but ‘itne paise mein itna ich milenga’ 😀 )
