Last month I was experimenting with a lot of face washes but this face wash is something I was using all the time. I finally finished this product, so thought of reviewing it finally. I love pink grapefruit for my acne-prone skin and that was the reason I picked this up. Read to know how it worked for my acne-prone and combination skin which is partially dry this winter.

My Experience with Beauty Formulas Oil Control Deep Action Cleansing Foaming Facial Cleanser:
The face wash from Beauty Formulas comes in a superfat inverted tube in orange and white. I love how colourful it looks and it is accompanied with a white cap as well which adds to the packaging. It is definitely travel-friendly because the cap closes with a click. The face wash is designed especially for acne-prone skin and my skin is exactly the way they describe, hence I wanted to see some good effects.
The gel comes in a light orange colour and the consistency is very runny. Due to the inverted packaging, the hole lets out a lot more quantity then needed which I don’t like. The gel is very gentle on my skin and I kind of massage it and cleanse my face too. It nicely cleans all the impurities and excess oil from my face leaving my face clean and fresh. The pink grapefruit has citric acid which gives my face a subtle glow along with brightness. The gel has a very refreshing smell filled with pink grapefruit aroma which helps me give a fresh start to the day. I could see that skin wasn’t breaking out as regularly as before, but it wasn’t treating my earlier pimples and spots well. Hence, I think this prevents acne rather than working on the older ones.
I couldn’t see a lot of blackheads on my face, so it was effective in that area too. It made my skin look a lot healthier and clearer than before. I was having a lot of spots on my face and I continued to get spots, so neither did they stop coming nor did they fade quickly. So claiming that it would reduce my spots was too good to be true. I could feel my skin getting drier after using this; hence I had to follow up with my face cream to add moisture. So a big no-no for dry skin and normal skin! This is made just for problem skin prone to break-outs and spots, so yes, it is a decent one in that area. But if you do have a HG face wash for that skin issue, then I don’t find any reason why you should hop on to this one. So a decent one, but we have seen better.
Pros of Beauty Formulas Oil Control Deep Action Cleansing Foaming Facial Cleanser:
• A big fat attractive tube in orange and white loaded with the gel.
• The cleanser is very gentle on the skin so it will be suitable for sensitive skin too.
• It has a very refreshing scent of citrusy pink grapefruit which wakes me up.
• Controls breakouts to a good extent.
• I did not notice any blackheads on my face after using this.
• Definitely controls the oil on my face and keeps it matte for 3-4 hours.
Cons of Beauty Formulas Oil Control Deep Action Cleansing Foaming Facial Cleanser:
• Inverted tube and runny consistency gives out much more than needed.
• I did not see anything miraculous with spots; my spots continued to be there.
• It takes a lot of time to fade the existing acne.
• A very average one.

Will I Repurchase/Recommend Beauty Formulas Oil Control Deep Action Cleansing Foaming Facial Cleanser?
Yes, I would recommend it for acne-prone skin since I couldn’t see a lot of major pop-outs. But it is an average cleanser so if you don’t have acne prone skin, then you have a lot of better options to splurge on.
Conclusion:
Beauty Formulas has been a really good brand till date as I have mostly had positive reviews, so I am going to try some more products from them too!
