Bite Beauty Multistick Brioche Review

By Meenakshi G.

Hello everyone,

The product under my radar today is from a brand know for creating its makeup from food-grade ingredients. Yes, you guessed it right, I am referring to “Bite Beauty.” It is a brand that predominantly focuses on lip products, but when they came out with these multi-purpose sticks, it got me intrigued. I heard about so many rave reviews about this product that I decided to jump onto the bandwagon and try it for myself. This multistick, as the name suggests, serves so many different purposes. It can be either used as an eyeshadow, a blush or a lipstick. I went ahead and bought the shade named “Brioche” from this multistick range. So, let’s get started with the review.

My Experience with Bite Beauty Multistick Brioche:

Packaging: This comes in a typical Bite Beauty black lipstick packaging. It looks just like a lipstick with a twist mechanism and has a magnetic closure. The top of the stick bullet is flat and not tapered like a regular lipstick. The outer packaging is a beige cardboard box with details of the brand and the product marked in red.

Color:  This particular shade, “Brioche”, is described as a rich terracotta color. It has warm undertones and a slightly satiny finish. It would pull slightly different undertones depending on how pigmented your lips are. But overall on my NC42 skin, it pulls as a very nice peachy n*de.

Let’s look at how it fares the multi-purpose claim:

As an eyeshadow: It was very easy to work it on the eyelids. I did not have to spend a lot of time blending the edges. This color would work well with the whole monochromatic trend going on right now and can be used as an everyday, all-over lid color, but unfortunately, it fell short on the lasting power. Because I have oily eyelids, it started to crease after a few hours of wear.

As a blush:  Again, it was very easy to blend and has a medium to buildable coverage. It can be applied either directly from the bullet or I prefer using a small stippling brush to apply and blend this away, but it looked beautiful as a blush and lasted for a good 6-7 hours on my oily skin. It is a perfect everyday natural blush color which would complement many different skin tones.

As a lipstick: The texture was neither too drying nor too moisturizing. It settles to a semi-matte finish but if your lips are not exfoliated properly, it might tend to settle into fine lines. Because of the flat top of the bullet, it might be a little difficult to blend it around the edges. Or else the best way is to use a lip brush to get into those edges and make them look perfect. The color stayed for a good 5-6 hours on my lips with eating some snacks and sipping on water.

Here are the swatches of Brioche. (Left swatch – two swipes, right swatch – blended)

Pigmentation: Excellent, opaque pigmentation. Easily blendable.

Lasting Power:  Again, lasting power is really dependent on how you use it. As an eyeshadow, the lasting power was really poor even though I applied an eye primer underneath but it fared really well as a blush and lipstick.

Pros of Bite Beauty Multistick Brioche:

  • Beautiful neutral peachy shade.
  • Opaque coverage in a single swipe.
  • All food-grade ingredients, so extremely safe.
  • Lasting power is satisfactory.
  • Ease of use.
  • Sits very nicely on lips – no bleeding.

Cons of Bite Beauty Multistick Brioche:

  • Availability might be an issue.
  • This shade could wash out darker skinned beauties.
  • A little expensive.
  • Low staying power on oily eyelids.

IMBB Rating:
4.2/5

Well, it does meet the expectations and the claims of it being a multistick. It is very travel friendly and comes to your rescue when you need to look “put together” in no time. I am looking forward to try other shades from this range.
