  1. I dont think I fancy almond flavor, but I love that sound of almonds in moisturizing lotion πŸ™‚

LOL u shd carry a huge bag for that thing to fit in πŸ™‚

so, how is ur day so far?

hey sexy, wud u mind me asking u something? r u interested in doing the fun tag other day Sarah did? Glossary of glossicious? if u r, pls let me know! these reviews are really boring (in my blog)

thnq very much in advance, love!

  2. Hi Rati
Would yo u recommend this for someone with acne prone skin (but otherwise skin is blotchy and can get dry around the nose and mouth area)

Also can you please do a review for foundations – where you can compare maybelline, revlon, neutrogena and MAC

I would ideally like to use a foundation which does not cost more than 700Rs (revlon is around that price range) – its good on my skin but somehow even their formula for ‘dry’ skin ends up giving me some dry patches here and there despite moisturization – and sometimes my skin area starts looking grayish after application

maybe i need a better moisturizer – but i need somethign which wont cause me acne. i am thinking of trying the blossom kochhar one

    1. I know this review is already 2 years old n m new in this community  so, I would share you my experience of this lotion, I never had used any cream as such on my face till age 21 as I suffered frm acne, bt then i could feel my skin quite rough n not so smooth, so I just bought it and have been using it since then and its very long lasting, i do suffer from occasional break outs bt it has managed to keep my face nice and smooth, though now i hv begun to notice dryness bt it is my HG.. :jiggy1: :jiggy1: . DO TRY…. If not good then it won’t harm either unlike other chemical infused creams…

  3. Lol!! Divija, I carry only big bags. πŸ˜› I think I should have mentioned that. Oh! I would love to do that tag. Send me the questions right away. πŸ™‚

  4. Great review Rati. I’ve used this n a lot of Aroma Magic products when I was taking up courses at Pivot Point…but I’ve forgotten how I found them. I might try some again. But I sure do remember the cap problem n broken nails! πŸ™‚ I used to use a towel or the edge of a table to open them.

  5. Thanks, Cynthia. I have used so many of her products and now I have even started believing in them. I am yet to come across a rotten apple. I was running short of my moisturizing lotion and this came as a godsent product for me. It just so hydrating. Also, these products prove that expensive products are not always good. πŸ™‚

What all courses did you do at Pivot Point?

  6. oh wow i love the size of that thing! i really have to try out aroma magic’s products now. but hear this, i am unable to most products of this line at my local outlet! sad. where do you get yours from?

  7. Rima, I got this sent from the company for testing and trying. But I loved it so much that I am going to buy this myself now. It is so available at the stores near my home.

Infact, you have to try their cuticle cream as well. I get these painful cuticles during winters. I apply the cream at night and till morning the sides of my nails are fine.

  8. hi Rati,

yes this brand is good. i am using Aroma magic sunscreen lotion as well and its great and doesnt make the skin oily….i will also try more products from this..

    good share

  9. Hey, I was recommended this moisturizer like 4-5 months back by this lady at the parlor.. But I didn’t get it coz i didn’t like their fairy lotion.

Will get it since u have such a good opinion about it :D, but after 6 mnths.. Have decided to stop shopping and finish off all the stuff I have first & only then get anything new πŸ˜€

  10. Piya,

I mainly shop at GK-1 M Block market, Select city walk, shopper’s stop and Kailash Colony Market. Mainly because they are all near to my home. πŸ˜› Which part of Delhi are you putting up?

    Tanveer,

I have also kinda decided the same with a lot of products and it gives a good satisfying feeling when you finish off the product. πŸ™‚

Not tried the fairy lotion but this product is really good.

  11. Hi Rati

    Here’s my skin care routine:
    1. Wash with Himalaya Neem Face wash
    2. Tone with Proactive toner
    3. Moisturize with clean and clear face moisturizer (i have also tried Vichy – cost me around 1200Rs and has not improved my skin at all – but is ok as a face prime)
    4. Revlon color stay foundation

At night I simply was my face with the Himalaya Neem face wash (occasionally moisturize again in winters)

  12. You must change your cleanser. Use this : http://store.himalayahealthcare.com/skincare/Oil-balancing-face-wash-gel.htm instead. For an oily skin, a lemon based cleanser helps to reduce oil and keep the texture of your skin in place. You are already using a toner, which is essential. I wouldn’t suggest this moisturizer for you because it has glycerin and oils in it and the formula is pretty creamy and a little heavy. I suggest that you use Himalaya’s face moisturizing lotion : http://store.himalayahealthcare.com/skincare/face-moisturizing-lotion.htm

It has aloe vera and it would help in healing your skin. To apply, apply the lotion directly on the dry areas and mix it with a little water to apply on your acne prone areas. It’s a myth that oily skin does not need moisturization. So moisturize your face well.

Use some kind of sunscreen or at least something that has SPF in it to protect your skin. Sunscreen is as important as brushing your teeth. πŸ˜›

Cleanse tone and moisturize twice a day.

Some other things that you could do are

    1. Mix equal parts of lemon juice and water in a bowl and apply it all over your face. Rinse it after a few minutes
    2. Use a clay mask at least once a week.
    3. Keep blotting sheets/ tissues handy with you to remove the excess oil from your face.
    4. If you have dandruff, treat that.

    Hope that helps. πŸ™‚

  13. I am sure you would be having Shopper’s Stop or Westside near your home. πŸ™‚ Or if you come this side of Delhi, I’ll take you shopping. πŸ™‚

  14. yes, rajouri’s shopper’s stop is near to my place…

vl definitely go wid u 4 good products shopping when i vl have a good amount of money for shopping lol as i had just shopped the colorbar products as i told u 10 days back..

    thanks 4 da help..would b a pleasure 2 meet u….

    keep smiling

    piya

  15. there are many good cosmetic shops in and around c4E janakpuri. or go to dwarka sec 4, right opposite pizza hut and costa coffe, there’s a HUGE and AMAZING store. had to miss. i don’t know any names (which is kind of strange!), but these are my favourite places to shop at, locally.

other places are malls. places close by are lifestyle at city square which hosts most medium range brands while shoppers stop, rajouri also has high end brands like ysl, givenchy and also a mac! let me tell you that there’s a body shop on the first floor of westgate mall, rajouri.

places that are far away are promenade, vasant vihar (already has a mac, inglot opening soon), select city walk, saket (ALL brands including mac, inglot and also the only lord and berry store in india!) and ambience, gurgaon (most brands including mac).

    phew.

  16. Rima, the price listed on the site of Lord and Berry is totally a mismatch from the real prices. The price of the lippies is around 800 and above and the site says 150. πŸ˜› Same with the brushes.

  17. Thanks Rati. I’ll try this out. Will update you guys when my skin starts looking better πŸ™‚

Can you also please tell me about some good foundation (not too costly though)

  18. Hi Asli Nakli,

Honestly, I have not used many foundations and after a bad experience from Lakme, I have totally switched to MAC for my foundations. However I keep looking around for stuff at the shops so here goes my recommendations:

    1. Max factor foundations. Look for the one that does not have mineral oil present in it.
    2. I recently purchased colorbar’s foundation but it is for heavy coverage and has matte finish. I quote liked it. It should work for oily skin.
    3. Revlon foundations come according to skin type, you could choose one from oily skin range
    4. Maybelline mousee is something you could look at.

  19. Hye Shivani, Welcome Home! πŸ™‚ I generally apply kajal. These days I am loving Lotus herbal Kajal but I have also used Colorbar’s eyeliners on waterline and have had no issues with it. By rule I don’t apply any liquid liner on waterline but I am okay with using pencil liners on water line. So far, no bad experience.

Btw have you tried Mac smolder?

  20. Oops !
just saw this post , belated happy anniversary Rati !!

Even I am very impressed by BK products , I have used peppermint exfoliating gel and it works wonder .. do try it .. great for removing blackheads and whiteheads without that vigorous scrubbing and digging metal spatula on yer nose , Yeeks !!:D

  21. Thank you. πŸ™‚

For some reason I have started getting less and less black heads. I don’t know what changed in my regime. But I really want to explore Blossom’s range now. Really liking it a lot. πŸ™‚

  22. Where Can I buy Clean and Clear oil blotting sheets in delhi??
Need them urgently, ran out and now can’t find them anywhere :/

    1. Hi Prachi,

I don’t know which part of Delhi do you live in? πŸ™ Do let us know. May be I or someone else living in that area would be able to help you.

  23. hi….

Can anyone suggest me a gud night cream or lotion for oily skin. I have a fair but oily skin n a few spots as a result of pimples. I also suffer from whiteheads and blackheads

    1. Hi Monalisa ,

I have never used a separate night cream. Use the same cream for both night and day and it works just fine.

For black heads, use a scrub. St Ives does a good job with scrubs.

  24. had tried it for my face but cmpltely broke out, thus using it nw for my arms and legs πŸ˜› and its working fab for thm.. the result super smooth and soft arms and legs

  25. Hey Rati,
I am posting after a long time! i am a complete aroma magic junkie, have probably tried all their products and continue to do so.

I think i have tried this moisturiser years back and remember for a fact that it burnt my skin. I have super sensitive skin and many products make me red so just an add on to this discussion. I don’t think its for sensitive skin.

  26. i have used BK almond cream as well as lotus nyt cream bt cant decide which to continue using? m using their almond lotion after reading the positive review.Iheve very dry skin.Which product should i continue using to hydrate my skin 24*7
