AROMA MAGIC CUCUMBER SUNSCREEN LOTION SPF 30 – REVIEW
I am a ‘no sunscreen’ person, sunscreen suffocates me and touchwood my skin doesn’t trouble me much, expect for some mild tanning. But, I finally decided to give sunscreen a try and got this. Although I got it long ago, somehow it was lying unused. Now since summers are here, its time to bring out all these products. 😛
What the company claims – This lotion provides full spectrum protection against harmful UVA and UVB sun rays by combining natural sun blocking agents with sunscreens. Non greasy and light, it feels comfortable on your skin. Prevents tanning and also helps lighten the skin.
Directions to use – Apply liberally and evenly onto face, neck and exposed body areas before going out in the sun. Suited for all skin types and avoid contact with eyes.
Price – Rs.130/- for 60 ml. A bigger tube is also available, I am not aware of its price.
As you can make out it is white coloured runny sunscreen. It is highly moisturising thus making it unfit for oily skin people.
You can have an idea about its oiliness by seeing the pic below –
My take – This sunscreen made me break out just like all other sunscreens. It is not at all light. Being greasy it makes you skin feel heavy. So I don’t use it for the face and would advise oily or combination skin people not to use either. However it is an amazing body lotion, it takes a little time to get absorbed into the skin but it moisturises pretty well. It wouldn’t say it prevents tanning, but it makes u get less tanned. Overall, I don’t like it and will finish up by using it as body lotion. Although it claims that it suits all skin types, I can bet that it is not for oilies. Dry skinies may find it to be good product.
Pros of Aroma Magic Cucumber Sunscreen lotion SPF 30
- Has herbal ingredients
- Highly moisturising, so dry skin people can substitute it for moisturiser also.
- Not tested on animals
Cons of Aroma Magic Cucumber Sunscreen lotion SPF 30
- The biggest con – it made me break out, I went out wearing this for half an hour and by the time I got home, two zits on my right cheek and three on my forehead.
- Will not suit oily skin people, its not a con as such, but then it shouldn’t claim of suiting all skin types either.
- The smell – although the smell subsides later on, but when you apply it initially, a very suffocating smell comes.
Will I repurchase / recommend – No, I seriously don’t like it and will not recommend to anyone also. Though, I would like to purchase their aloe Vera sunscreen gel, I have been using it for 2 days now and I am liking it so far.
Rating – :-* :-* (Major points cut for being greasy and making false claims)
