Here’s another Bobbi Brown Lipstick review for you today. I have reviewed a couple of shades from this range already (Neutral Rose, Hot Rose, Hibiscus, Cranberry). I liked the texture, so I picked up a few more shades recently. Let me put it this way – if there is a lipstick from Bobbi Brown with the word “rose,” in it, then that instantly goes on my wish list. I have reviewed the shades Rose Blossom, Mod Rose and Neutral Rose already, and today’s review is on “Uber Rose.” I have no affinity to roses. They aren’t even my favourite flower. However, when Bobbi does a shade of “rose,” it just turns out super pretty and super flattering for me! Let’s see if this one also fits into that mould.

My Experience with Bobbi Brown Luxe Lip Color Uber Rose:
Packaging: Bobbi Brown moved from her classic black packaging to the one colour which has always indicated luxe – gold! So, the case for the luxe lip color happens to be a golden one with “Bobbi Brown” written on the side and her lovely logo etched on top. The bullet itself is free from any branding. The lipstick has the regular twist-up mechanism and lacks the magnetic closure. However, the cap fits in snugly, so there are very little chances of it coming undone in a bag. As with all things Bobbi Brown – the lipstick comes packaged in a black box which has the ingredients mentioned on it.
Shade: The shade, Uber Rose, is such a pretty shade. It is a medium, plum-my pink with a neutral to cool undertone and a glossy finish. It is unlike other plummy pinks in my stash, like MAC Craving or MAC Amorous.This shade is the perfect version of an English rose without the hint of darkness/dirtiness that the natural English rose shade has. I absolutely love the shade. It looks so natural and pretty without going over the top. It would make for a perfect work wear lipstick for me.
Texture: The texture is consistent with other shades that I have reviewed from this line. The lipstick feels extremely lightweight, though not weightless. It glides on with buttery smoothness. You don’t need to layer it up, but if you do, it still won’t get cakey or heavy. The beauty of the product also lies in the fact that the smoothness with which it glides, stays on. The satin smoothness does not get drying over time. It keeps the lips hydrated as promised by Bobbi Brown.
At the end of the day, your lips feel better off having worn the lipstick. Having said that, what works for me is also that despite the softness it provides, the texture doesn’t migrate or move around too much on the lips. It adheres well to the lips once applied. Yes, it does transfer to other surface it touches because of the satin finish, but you do not feel the slip on the lips. The smoothness it provides to the lips makes them appear plumped and the fine lines on my lips seem less evident.
Pigmentation: Pigmentation is quite good. A single layer gives a full wash of colour. Like I said, as a habit, we tend to go over our lips a couple of time, but that isn’t really required. The colour is fully opaque and hides my lip pigmentation very well.
Staying Power: The lipstick gives you about 5 hours of wear. However, a meal will make it disappear unless you were doing finger foods. This shade does not leave much of a stain – just a light pink wash. So, one would definitely need re-application mid day. As the lipstick starts to wear off, it does so evenly, without getting or looking patchy.

Would I Recommend Bobbi Brown Luxe Lip Color Uber Rose?
This shade is an absolute winner for me, not surprisingly because I do like neutral plummy pinks. I find them very easy to carry off and they suit my skin tone well. This product is definitely one up on the other similar shades in the market – thanks to its beautiful texture and the fact that the shade is so pretty and is devoid of the hint of darkness which most plummy pink shades tend to have. I do recommend it
