My Experience: Honestly, sometimes I feel lazy to do eye makeup for weddings, so I always look for something that would add a sparkle to my eyes & at the same time doesn’t need much effort. In my quest to find that eye liner that can be glittery & bring that sparkle, I tried the Regard Pailette Sparkling Eyeliner in the shade 36 Lagon Ensoleille.
The English meaning of Lagon is Lagoon (A shallow body of water, especially one separated from a sea by sandbars or coral reefs.)
Ensoleille means shines upon.
So Lagon Ensoleille means Lagoon Shine upon.
I have already used the Bourjois Eye pencil & was very satisfied with the quality & efficacy of the pencil. I have very sensitive eyes & eye pencils from other brands like Lakme & Oriflame make my eyes watery, since time I started using the Bourjois Eye pencil, I knew this was the only brand suitable for my eyes.
The Regard Pailette Sparkling Eyeliner in the shade 36 Lagon Ensoleille is a blue eye liner with micro silver shimmer & is very apt for party look. The tip of the pencil is very smooth & glides well. Though this doesn’t have kohl, I tried it on my water line & didn’t feel any discomfort, but this hasn’t been recommended by the Company & I wouldn’t recommend it either. It is very easy to sharpen the pencil but you need to very careful since the tip is little waxy & can break. The pencil stays without smudging for at least 6 hours & after that it fades. And if you are like me, who sometimes rubs the eyes without realising that there is something on them, you would find the shimmer all over the eyes. The color is much pigmented & it isn’t easy to remove it, when I ran water over the swatch, it just doesn’t fade, had to apply soap & rub it to take it off, if you use a makeup remover, it will come off in 2-3 swipes. All told, this is my favourite eye pencil at the moment & I love it.
Pros of the Bourjois Regard Pailetté Eyeliner:
• Suitable for party wear.
• Great Color pay off. Has nice pigmented blue color with micro silver shimmer.
• Glides smoothly on the eyes.
• Great staying power, stay for 6 hours & more after which it starts to fade.
• I have tried on the waterline & didn’t feel any discomfort.
• It’s an Opthalmologically tested Eye pencil.
• Value for the money! It’s priced for Rs.335
Cons of the Bourjois Regard Pailetté Eyeliner:
• If you mistakenly happen to rub your eyes, the glitter gets smeared all over the eyes.
• While removing this eye pencil, the glitter gets spread & makes it difficult to remove.
Will I repurchase this? Definitely! I love this, will try the other shades
Will I recommend this? I will recommend this to people who would like to have a glittery eye pencil for night outs with good staying power & nice pigmentation.
