Burberry Mink No.102 Eye Colour Cream Review

When I noticed that Burberry was releasing their cream eyeshadows, I was super excited to try them out. Since I love Burberry’s makeup line, I was sure that I am gonna love these eye colours as well. As mentioned in my previous post, Burberry focuses more on everyday neutral look. They offer very neutral shades in their cream eyeshadows. There are total of 8 shades in the range and the shade that I will be reviewing today is “Mink.”

Product Description:
A creamy, blendable eye shadow with a unique, flat-angled brush that effortlessly delivers a wash of color. These cushion-soft, lightweight, and illuminating cream eye shades glide across the skin to deliver a saturation of color that can be easily blended for an expressive finish. Long-lasting and crease-free, these shadows can be worn alone to create tone, depth, and shadow or layer them with other shades for a more dramatic effect. Using the unique angled applicator, the whisper-light cream can also be applied as an eyeliner along the upper lid or below the lower lash line. It is formulated without parabens, sulfates, and phthalates. This product is free of fragrance.

My Experience with Burberry Mink No.102 Eye Colour Cream:

This eye colour comes packaged in a square glass jar with plastic gunmetal cap. The cap has the iconic Burberry check design on it. The eyeshadow comes with a brush which is not of that great quality. The name of the brand is printed in the front of the jar and the shade name on the bottom of the jar. Overall, the packaging is luxe and you get what you pay for.

“Mink” is a taupe shade which will look good on every skin tone. This does have slight micro glitters which do not show up on the skin but gives a slight sheen on the lid.

The texture on Burberry eye cream colour is somewhat similar to Chanel Illusion d’ombre. It feels soft and cushiony. It feels like clay, but still quite smooth and creamy to the touch. When applied to the lids, it feels velvety and glides on very easily. This sets to a powdery finish with a slight sheen.

This Burberry cream shadow blends like a dream and gives the most natural look. It can be applied with a finger or with a brush.. I prefer using fingers to apply and then, I blend the edges with a fluffy blending brush.

The lasting power is pretty good, with a staying power of 9 hours on my lids and I don’t notice any creasing, transfer or fading. When it comes to pigmentation, it’s not insanely pigmented but it’s quite buildable, so you can apply and manage according to your preference. It offers a soft wash of color, so if you don’t like that, you won’t like this either, but I love this for day-to-day wear.
