My Experience with Burberry Sheer Pressed Powder
I recently reviewed Burberry Powder Foundation. Today I am reviewing sheer pressed powder called N*de Powder from Burberry.
Let’s start with the classic packaging. There is a Burberry’s signature pattern embossed both on the gunmetal coloured case and the powder itself. A velvet pouch comes along with it that holds a super soft pouch. There is a mirror attached on the inside. I would have really preferred if there was a compartment for a sponge in the powder itself. But I guess that has been done to keep the packaging sleek and light.
The powder is sheer and barely imparts any color on the skin. I use it in shade Honey No 32, which I feel is a perfect match for my skin tone and also adds a lovely goldeny warmth to my skin.
It is a ssuuuuuuuupppperrr fine powder. It is actually one of the finest powders I have used so far. It goes on the skin like magic. I mean you wouldn’t even notice that you have applied something on your skin but it does that little photo-shopping to your skin. It makes your pores look smaller and adds that almost not-there-kinds veil of powder on the skin. The finish is matte- satin. It mattifies the skin but does not dull it down. There is still a hint of glow to the skin. I think it’s an ideal powder for those with normal to combination skin. Those with oily skin can also use it because it does mattify the skin but may not control the oil as much. But if you don’t mind doing touch-ups, it works as a great finishing / blotting powder.
It sets the makeup beautifully. After you have done your foundation and you want it to look just the way it is, just set it with this powder and it only makes your skin look nicer. I have used this powder in photos HERE. I am not sure how much you can figure out the effect because it actually is pretty translucent. But I don’t photoshop my photos to keep the reviews as real as possible. So may be you might get an idea on looking at the skin texture as how the product looks on the skin. Well, hopefully. 🙂
There is no distinct fragrance to the product. If I really dig my nose in the powder, it smells a bit chalky but really there is no noticeable smell as such.
There are also UV filters in the powder, which is absolutely brilliant for a day time wear.
The powder also photographs nicely.
Overall, a star product in Burberry line. Absolutely enjoy using it. Sometimes I even use it on top of powder foundation to get that extra bit of finishing on the skin. 🙂
