Chanel Vitalumiere Eclat Compact Makeup
Price: 3300
If you are looking for :
- A silky smooth powder that gives you light to medium coverage
- that has a light pleasant fragrance
- that works excellent as a mineral makeup
- that could be a carried around in a classy packagaing with sponge, mirror, brush and a cover
- that is a powder but still does not give you any flakiness on your dry skin
Then, Chanel Vitalumiere Eclat Compact Makeup is for you.

It comes in a velvet pouch that has a compartment for a brush and the case. A little elastic is stitched around the pouch that completely packs the pouch and you can carry it around.
The compact contains a BIG mirror and two separate compartments – one for the sponge and the other one for the powder-foundation.
You may use the brush for the light coverage while you may use a sponge to dab the powder on your face for a medium coverage. The brush that comes along with has very soft bristles and works perfectly for applying powder all over the face. I generally apply the makeup using a sponge and then lightly move the brush all over the face to remove any excess powder on face.
For me, it gives an excellent coverage especially for the day. During this humid weather I have set aside my liquid foundations. This works just fine through out the day and if required, I also do a little touchups and my skin looks as fresh as ever.
This does not give a mattifying look. It gives a natural luminous look on the face and is great for people who have normal/ dry skin. It has SPF 10 and the shade BA 30 Beige Ambre – Sable matches my skin tone perfectly.
The powder compartment is a actually detachable. Once you are over with your powder, you may buy a refill that costs you around 10o0 bucks less than if you buy a full compact all over again. The is a little click button on the side, just press it and the powder- case comes off.
This is the softest and the silkiest powder I have used so far. And the swatch that you see on my finger is just sweep once on the powder. You can imagine the kind of coverage it can be built up to.ย This does not sink in my pores.ย It just stays as is through out the day.
I generally don’t use powder foundations because they mostly flake my dry skin especially around the nose. I have never faced any such problem with Chanel Vitalumiere foundation. It only makes my skin smooth and soft once I apply it.
Excellent Product!

Yeah, it’s an excellent powder. Take a look at Chanel Matlumiere powder compact. That’s suited for oily skin. ๐
Looks really good to me. I really don’t want to use liquid foundations any more and might try this next. Would you recommend it for acne prone skin?
Devika,
I have never faced any problem with this product. Even on the days when I have a little bumps on my face, this does not accentuate them. If you have oily skin I would suggest Chanel Matlumiere. This is mainly for dry skin.:)
isn’t matlumiere liquid? or is it available in a powder form too?
it’s available in powder form as well. ๐
yay! ๐
at first i was like, 3300 for that tiny thing? then i read about refills available as well. but i won’t use it no matter how well it blends in to dry skin. powder/cake foundations just aren’t my thing! anything else that chanel has on offer that’s tempting? i’ve heard their lipsticks have the most classic shades. i’ve never gone to their counter because i feel so tiny and small.
No this is not a tiny thing, it’s a pretty big case. he he.. Whenever you start with Chanel, pick up Rouge Coco first. That’s the most classic thing that they have. ๐
okk but it looks quite small in the pics. but it will last for a long time, all these expensive products do, coz you need very little to get the full effect. i always believe that the best way to judge a brand is through their lipsticks. i’m eyeing you, rouge coco!

Yes, it should last a long time because it is powdery enough that a little bit is required for the full face. I think every woman should own atleast one rouge coco. That’s one hell of a lipstick. ๐

She is Johny Depp’s wife. ๐ She is singing herself.
she looks good with her mouth closed ๐
now i want a rouge coco :-((

She is one of the hottest female in France. When I saw this ad for the first time, I was like she’ll sell rouge coco to anyone. ๐
Aww!! :-*
well yes, she’s sold it to me! i’ll show the ad to inder, maybe she’ll tempt him enough to gift me one ๐

Brilliant. ๐
Looks really good, thought of asking my sis to send it but I have to know the shade that suits me d best ๐
oh yeah, you have to have your shade selected first and then only ask your sis to send it across. You won’t be able to “enjoy” it otherwise…:(
May be visit the Chanel counter one of these days and get your shade selected. You would be able to see the texture and the product both. ๐
I prefer mineral foundation or compact powders in summers. And its so affordable in india, it will cost like 6000rs in Pakistan ๐ it looks so pigmented and creamy.
errr…6000 bucks s crazy. ๐ It is a very fine powder and gives a decent coverage. ๐
Rati…..nice review. BTW, which brand of blue nail polish are you wearing?
I mean, brand and name/number of the shade, pleeeeeeeeease.
That’s not my hand, Sabrina. ๐
However you would find the same shade in Colorbar : https://makeupandbeauty.com/6-new-nail-paint-shades-at-colorbar/
Thanks, Rati, i will check out these Color Bar NPs ASAP.
Rati….I just remembered somewhere that you mentioned that you are including this chanel eclat in the giveway too………wonder where I read that :-/ :-/ :-/ :-/

Yeah, Jomol. ๐ ๐ ๐ ๐ This is for normal/dry skin, you see you may not like it. ๐
Hi, i’ve been using this stuff for 2 weeks but i’m still afraid of breaking out from this, have u seen any improvements on ur skin since using it? is it safe using this by itself? i read it contains some comedogenic ingredients.
thanks ๐
its costs a bomb….. :stars:
