My Experience with Chantecaille Compact Makeup
I have used this compact makeup every single day from past one month. Like everyday. 😛 The best things is that I got to test it in various weather conditions and this has been such a brilliant one that I want to write songs about it. 😛

The Chantecaille Compact makeup comes packed in this fuss free shiny silver packaging. There is a lovely big mirror attached on the inside. It has two compartments – one for the compact and a bottom netted one for the sponge. It also comes with a silky black pouch but I don’t bother about using a pouch. The only drawback with the packaging is that it is very prone to the scratches and after using it mercilessly for a whole month my compact is not looking luxurious from the outside. 😐

Anyway, I picked up the shade Camel, which is a pretty good match for my NC 35 skin tone. It comes in 8 shades and there are options for light to dusky skin tones and even has a selection according to undertones.

It is an extremely finely milled powder and feels creamy powdery when you touch it. It has sheer to light pigmentation. So on its own it is a good pick when you have a good skin day. It evens out the skin but doe snot give any major coverage. But I have tried using it in every way- damp, dry, as a setting powder, over tinted moisturiser and on its own with just a concealer and it looks pretty good in every way. It has a matte finish that makes it ideal for those with oily skin, especially but it is not drying at all. I mean when I started using it I had a concern that it might cling to my dry patches – it does not. I don’t know how. It goes like an air on the skin and does not enhance any fine lines or dry patches on the skin. When I have worn it on its own the staying power has been around 4+ hours and after that I pretty much felt to retouch the powder all over. But when worn on the foundation it has been such an amazing task master that I barely did any touchups all day long. It does not have any fragrance to it. I am so loving using it in this melting Delhi heat. I feel nothing else could keep my makeup intact these days. 😛

Overall higgghly recommend it to especially to those with oily/ combination skin but in these hot summer days those with dry skin can totally benefit from it. Or in general if you like matte finish for your makeup definitley give this a shot. It does not dry out the skin at all, which makes it ideal for all skin types.
Love love love it!
The only con is that I find the packaging quite boring. I mean I almost find it hard to convince people how insanely good Chantecaiile makeup is because their packaging totally takes a back seat.

In the top photo I am just wearing some concealer and chantecaille compact using a damp beauty sponge. You can clearly see the matte look it gives to the skin. In the bottom I have used it dry as a setting powder over a liquid foundation.
