Most of us own more than one eyeliner in our kitty, I am sure. I love winged liner and tend to keep pencils, gel liners and classic liquid liners in my stash. I was almost going to pick up the Maybelline matte liner when I saw this all-matte eyeliner from Colorbar. I thought Colorbar has been launching some new liners and hence it would be worth a shot. I picked this one with the infinite black liner as well. The review for that one will be up soon 🙂
For eyes that turn heads, this is a much required quick-drying liquid-to-matte liner that delivers full color for up to 16 hours. Matte finish brings depth to eye looks—contrasting with the skin’s texture for an effect that looks strikingly modern. This high performance eyeliner comes with an innovative, flocked applicator that gives you ultimate control and a smooth glide application, in one single step. It delivers the deepest pigmented line and impeccable hold. This formula is waterproof, remains smudge-proof all day long, and comes off swiftly and easily with eye makeup remover. No need for constant mirror-checks—this formula is humidity and sweat-resistant. Perfect for your everyday look!!
My Experience with Colorbar All-Matte Eyeliner – Matte Black 001:
These days Colorbar has been making really tall claims for their products and not delivering even half of them. Colorbar has been so busy in hiking the prices that the quality has gone down considerably. Bring down prices and up your quality, Colorbar.
Coming to the quality, this is just an average liner. I do not understand why they have made such tall claims of smudge proof, waterproof, fade resistant liner – and none of it is true. This formula melts upon contact with water in seconds. The formula fades when your eyes water slightly, the inner corner of the liner fades away. It does not make eyes messy or black, but fades simply. The felt tip is nothing new; I have used many liners like this before. It is not even the blackest black.
Though this is a matte liner, I have used more matte and black liners than this one. Humidity and sweat-resistant claims that Colorbar makes are also far fetched. This is just another average matte felt tip liner which is very highly priced.
It is my duty to point out the good parts as well. The formula is matte and dries in 20 seconds. Lakme black impact liner will work the same way but will take longer to dry. The formula lasted on me for 12 hours, with slight fading so this is a good thing. Around 12 hours is the maximum I wore it. I don’t need to wear a liner for 16 hours so I am okay with this claims.
Pros of Colorbar All-Matte Eyeliner – Matte Black 001:
- Dries in 20 seconds.
- Quite matte.
- Black liner.
- Felt tip.
- Lasts 12 hours with slight fading with watery eyes.
Cons of Colorbar All-Matte Eyeliner – Matte Black 001:
- Not waterproof.
- Not smudge proof.
- Not humidity or sweat resistant.
- Not the blackest black.
- Not the most matte liner around.
- Just another average felt tip black liner, similar to Lakme Black Impact Liner.
- Very highly priced.
Would I Repurchase/Recommend Colorbar All-Matte Eyeliner – Matte Black 001?
No, please spend only half the money on another brand which does not have such tall claims. If Colorbar had not priced it so high and had not made such high claims, I would have been happier.
