I have been dabbling with some new stuff these days; but new for me; but on the shelves for a while otherwise. We have some Colorbar outlets in Pune and my card had accumulated some decent points. It was time for a haul this time. I picked up some unique shades for eyes which I didn’t have in my stash before. A change from regular neutrals and golds, I went for pinks and plums this time. My Experience with Colorbar Star Sailor Emphaseyes Baked Eyeshadow:
Colorbar is true when it claims there’s no sparkle fallout. The texture is pearly and it has these spots of shimmer. When you swatch overall, you get a maroon pearly color and some specks of gold shimmer in it. The payoff is not really insane but you can layer it on.
This color works more like a stain shadow for me. It is not powdery at all, I am very happy with the fact that there is hardly any fall out.
Even the shimmer does not fall, but the texture once blended out, looks like a stain on the lids. This results in the shadow creasing very minimally and lasting longer. This shadow lasted on me without a primer for 4 to 5 hours.
You will have to see how you want to work with it, pat or blend. The pigment on this one is good enough to play with.
