Hope you are all enjoying summers.  A few days back, while I was cleaning up mum’s dressing table, I found a box full of lipsticks. She told me that she loved applying lipsticks and she had a lot of different shades, unlike me, who has just a few variants of pink. So, I started looking at all of them and I saw this shade! It’s like chocolate 😀  I just knew that I had to review it. It’s from Colorbar Velvet Matte Lipsticks range in shade- Misty Cocoa 15.  I did a little research and found that this range has 47 shades! I guess you guys already know all this from the various previous reviews of different shades from this range. So, let’s get straight to the review.

Product Description:

For a rich lip color with a creamy shine, the Velvet Matte Lipstick, available in stunning shades infuses the lip with vibrancy. Its unique 2-in-1 formulation gives lips a creamy, yet matte finish, a one of a kind product in India.  It has a super softening agents that give the lips a soft and supple appearance while keep the nourished with vitamin E. staying on up to 5 hours on application, the Velvet Matte Lipstick can be further accentuated with a lip gloss and lip liner.

My Experience with Colorbar Velvet Matte Lipstick – Misty Cocoa:

This lipstick comes in a simple silver-cased packaging with a transparent see-through cap. At the bottom, you can see the shade.

The brand name is mentioned on the cap and no other hosh-posh.  As I said earlier, I am a person more inclined towards pinkish shades, but this brown is like chocolate-on-a-stick. So, it just got me!

The texture of this is very creamy, glides on super easily.  I must say that it is extremely pigmented; just one swipe and you are done with it. It stands by its product description and does what it promises. It is very moisturizing and stays on for at least 3 hours, with eating and drinking (zabardasti to test it). And it definitely stays for 5 hours.  Matte texture has always been my favorite and this one is MATTE!

You do not need to apply any lip balm before the lipstick because it is very moisturizing in itself. But you can apply a gloss on top of it if you do not want the matte effect. You might find it difficult to remove in the end, so do not apply loads of it, just one swipe, so that you can get rid of it without hurting your lips.

In the picture, I have applied just one coat of the lipstick.

YES! I am definitely going to try it in other shades, at this price, how can anybody miss these!
