The Long-Wear Gel Eye Liner by Coloressence is long wearing, smudge proof and safe for sensitive eyes.It comes with an easy application brush.
I went to my local beauty store, we have like three of them in a km’s range! They have almost everything you need and they have these cute new launches as well. Now this one caught my eye because I have been using eye liners for the past ten or more years, I cannot live without one.Recently, we all have been hooked onto gel liners.I have Maybelline, L’Oreal and MAC ones but this one called out to me.I was shocked to see the price tag from Coloressence but when I asked for the brush to apply and swatch it, I was sold! So I paid this amount for an unknown looking gel liner which really surprised me.
Now with Maybelline, I had to add duraline after more than six months and I had to open my back up pack too. I got a L’oreal one too from IMBB sale. But this one trust me, is the blackest and smoothest of them all. Don’t believe me? keep watching.
The liner is smooth like butter, so much so that you have to carefully swatch and use a gentle brush on it.It is the blackest black ever and this has a shiny finish, very natural at that. The Maybelline one looks pretty matte compared to this. This one has no grey hints to it and I love how black it goes. I love how creamy and black it is and goes on soooo smooth, love using it so much.
The color dries in some time honestly, which is not very bothersome but to let you know, you have to leave it to set for 30 seconds, if that is too long for a gel liner. The gel liner does not transfer to the lids on my oily lids, I have worn it in the heat and have worn for over 6 hours, things looked fine.It might have gone 5 % dull black but nothing else.
It lasts very long and does not settle around the eyes. Yes, if you rub it too hard it might crumble, also try not to make a thick cakey line as it is already pigmented. It might feel slightly sticky after setting but it sets to a smudge proof and waterproof finish. So all is well with this liner and I love how jet black it is. I will be getting a back up at this price, this one is the cheapest gel liner around.
The brush looks like it will poke but works just fine.It works flat and sideways for thicker and thinner lines. It almost looks like a lip brush 😛 but the over packaging looks little cheap and plastic-y.The jar is thick plastic, I have dropped it several times, nothing happened . The brush guard would not come out initially and the brush plastic too feels cheap. Apart from the slight sticky or crumbly nature and cheap packaging, I have no problems with this liner, not stinging or sensitivity either.I have not noticed any obvious flaking or cracks either during the day.I do not use gel liners on my waterline, so no comments on that one 🙂
