My experience with coloressence pearl effect eye shadow pencil in emerald green
Let’s talk about its packaging first. Its a simple black retractable pencil with the transparent lid. It is sturdy and travel friendly. The best thing about this eye shadow pencil is that it is retractable, so there is no need to sharpen it and hence no product wastage.
The texture of the eye pencil is very creamy, it glides on so easily on the lid and on the waterline as well. The color pay off is slightly low as it is creamy in texture so you will have to swipe it 2-3 times to get the desired color. It has little shimmers in it which look great on the eyes. The shimmers are on the golden side. It is waterproof but not smudge proof. When applied on my eye lid it, could be easily smudged.
Its staying power is not satisfactory. It hardly stayed on my lids for 2 hours. It settles down in the crease after a short interval of time. When I first used this shadow pencil on my lids, I liked the smooth texture, it didn’t tug lids but after 10-15 min when I looked in the mirror, I was like what the ..??? It was settled in the crease. Post which, I’ve never used it again as a single eye shadow but tried it as an eye shadow base and as an eye liner. This may have happened because of my oily lids so it might be suitable to those who have dry lids. When I used it as an eye liner it looked preety good but again it stayed for about 2-3 hours without smudging, after that it faded considerably. I’ve used it on my lower water line as well and didn’t feel any discomfort.
