Today I will be reviewing a Dark Blue Eye Liner Pencil from Coloressence. 2014 is almost coming to an end, it’s sad that the year has gone by so fast! Last year this time I got connected to IMBB, reading all your lovely reviews. It was in February this year, that I wrote my first post on IMBB i.e How To Do Facial At Home, since then I’ve been enjoying writing reviews. Anyway, I bought this eye pencil thinking of wearing it on New Year’s Eve, I know it’s too early to decide, but then, why not! Let’s get to the review!
Price: 225 INR.
Product Description & Ingredients:
My Experience With Coloressence Waterproof Eye Liner Pencil In Dark Blue:
Packaging: All these eye liner pencils come in similar packaging of cardboard and plastic, with a girl staring at you. One thing I noticed about this girl’s eyes are, no matter what angle you look at her, it seems that she’s staring at you 😛 No, really!
Coming back, the liner pencil comes with a nice big sharpener, a plus for me, because I tend to lose the tiny ones. The wooden body of the pencil is the same colour as that of the product, so locating it becomes much easier. The plastic cap fits perfectly. Overall travel friendly, sleek and compact packaging.
Colour & Pigmentation: Can we just spend a moment to adore the colour of this eye pencil? Totally in Love with the metallic blue colour. It’s like Midnight Blue, but even better because of the metallic finish. Totally love it! One swipe doesn’t transfer enough colour, but three swipes imparts the beautiful dark blue metallic colour. The pigmentation is very buildable as you can see in the picture.
Texture: The texture is not creamy, but it glides on very smoothly. The tip is nice and strong. It doesn’t crumble or melt off while applying. Nor does it tug or pull. I wish it were just a little bit creamier, but never mind. I like the way it is. It does need about 30 seconds to set, after that it is water proof and smudge proof.
Staying Power: These pencils have an amazing staying power of more than 5 hours. It does not smudge at all after setting. It does not wash off easily with soap and water. It does fade after 6 hours, but that’s completely fine.
Pros of Coloressence Waterproof Eye Liner Pencil In Dark Blue:
- The colour!!! Love it.
- Smudge proof
- Pencil is sleek, travel friendly and looks good
- Buildable pigmentation
- Contains castor oil and beeswax
- Easily available online and in beauty shops
- Sharpener provided
Cons of Coloressence Waterproof Eye Liner Pencil In Dark Blue:
- Plastic cover on the body is tough to remove
- The texture could have been a little more creamier
IMBB Rating: 5 / 5. (I’m not going to cut points for the texture because it glides smoothly none the less)
Final Verdict: Definitely a must buy. The colour is just perfect midnight metallic blue, buildable, waterproof, smudge proof, long lasting etc etc. You should definitely buy this! You can use it as an eye shadow for smokey eye or can use it on its own, it’ll look so good!
