Hello pretty women,
How are you all? Enjoying monsoon? Or still waiting for it? Well, today, I am going to review an eye shadow pencil from Coloressence in the shade “Electric Blue.” I had picked it up a month ago. I have already reviewed a variant – “Emerald Green.” I bought both the pencils together. The shade “Emerald Green” didn’t work out that well for me. Read on further to know how this shade worked out.
My Experience with Coloressence Pearl Effect Eyeshadow Pencil in Electric Blue:
The eyeliner comes in a simple, thick, black retractable crayon kind of pencil with a transparent cap. The packaging is neat but nothing special. The lid tightly holds the pencil, so it’s travel friendly. Also, the pencil is retractable, so there is no need to sharpen it. The texture of the eye shadow pencil is so soft and creamy, it glides on very smoothly onto the lids and on the lower and upper water lines as well. The color looks so bright and cool. It’s so true to its name, an electric vibrant blue color. The pigmentation is awesome, unlike emerald green. I just need two swipes of it to get the desired color intensity. It does have some little shimmers in it which looks pretty good on the eyes. It is waterproof but not at all smudge proof.
It stays on my eyelids for 1-2 hours, after that, it starts fading. The fading is quite terrible, I mean as the texture of this eye shadow pencil is very creamy, it settles down into the fine lines. I usually apply it as an eyeliner and it looks awesome.
I also felt comfortable wearing it on my lower water line as well, but you need to apply a little amount on the lower water line, otherwise it will flow down and stick onto the lower lashes which looks like you have applied a blue mascara.
Now summing up the pros and cons:
Pros of Coloressence Pearl Effect Eyeshadow Pencil in Electric Blue:
- Very creamy and smooth texture.
- Nice pearly vibrant blue color.
- Two swipes are enough for the desired intensity.
- Sturdy pencil packaging, travel friendly.
- Retractable, so no product wastage.
- Can be used on waterline.
- Can be used as an eye shadow base for blue powdered eye shadow.
Cons of Coloressence Pearl Effect Eyeshadow Pencil in Electric Blue:
- Settles into the fine lines of the eye lids after 1-2 hours.
- Low staying power.
- No ingredients list mentioned.
- Availability of the brand may be an issue.
Would I Recommend Coloressence Pearl Effect Eyeshadow Pencil in Electric Blue?
Overall, it’s a nice eye shadow in a pencil form which can also be used as an eyeliner. So if you have dry eye lids and want a nice blue color pencil that too in budget, then you can give it a try.
