ColourPop is my favorite amongst low-priced brands and I am always keen on trying their different products, especially eyeshadows, lipsticks, highlighters and blushes. This time I have ordered 12 ‘Ultra Matte’ liquid lipsticks, and I am reviewing my favorite shade from the lot today. Let’s see how Extra Toppings fared.

Product Description:
The boldest formula of our liquid lipsticks – in one smooth swipe, you’ll get an intense color payoff that dries down to a super matte, transfer-proof finish. Add a little more of this bright coral red to spice it up! This thin, lightweight formula smoothly glides on the lips, leaving the super intense pigment with a bold, ultra-matte look. It is very long-wearing and 100% kiss-proof AKA no transferring.
Packaging:
The product comes in a white cardboard box with the name of the product and the ingredient list. The shade name is mentioned at the bottom of the tube. The tube has a silver cap with a golden ring. The applicator is a standard doe foot wand. Overall, the packaging is lightweight and travel-friendly. The only downside of the packaging is the silver print on the tube which says “ColourPop” but fades away very soon if you don’t keep it inside the outer box.
Shade:
Extra Toppings is a beautiful blend of red and coral – perfect for warm undertones. The shade is perfect for a special night but will look over-the-top or jazzy for everyday wear. It suits best with my ethnic outfits.
Staying Power:
Literally stays on despite multiple drinks, snacks, meals. It’ll stay on! I’m officially hooked to Colourpop!
Pigmentation and Coverage:
The lipstick is super pigmented and super opaque. It gives a full coverage even if the lips are pigmented. One swipe is all it takes to get maximum pigmentation.
My Experience with ColourPop Ultra Matte Lip Extra Toppings:
Firstly, I like the packaging because it’s easy to store and to identify from a pile of other lip colors. It is always better to exfoliate the lips before applying any liquid matte lipstick. So, I use my lip balm and Colourpop Lippie Primer before this lipstick to achieve the perfect finished look.
The texture of this liquid lipstick is very thin and light. It dries to a matte finish within seconds when you apply it to the lips. So if there are any errors during application, correcting them is a task. It’s the kind of shade which catches instant attention and draws you in – assuming you like bright shades.
As far as the shade goes it would look bright and pretty on any complexion as long as you are comfortable sporting vibrant hues. You don’t need to waste your time in layering your base. You basically need to apply this and your makeup is done!
You need not spend hours on eye makeup. Simply throw in a black mascara and some bronzer and you are done! It leaves quite a prominent pink stain. So much so that even when you take it off fully, your lips will be distinctly pink for a few more hours.
