The first step in the skin care procedure is application of a toner or an essence. It is an essential step in the 10-step Korean skin care routine since it preps and hydrates skin. I have picked up the fad of using BHA and AHA essence in my skin care products because of their anti-aging and skin rejuvenating properties. This toner by Cosrx claims to contain goodness of Black Bee Propolis and natural BHA and is comparatively more affordable than other brands.

My Experience with Cosrx Natural BHA Skin Returning A-Sol:
Skin care industry is a little overwhelming these days because of myriad kind of skin care ingredients and chemicals. There has been a tremendous growth in the list of brands to choose from and each brand claims to address all our skin concerns. I am right now more interested in anti-aging and anti-blemish products. Black Bee Propolis is used in skin care products to soothe, repair and hydrate skin while inhibiting bacterial growth—perfect for breakouts and acne-prone skin. Natural AHAs and BHAs also aid in controlling excess sebum, clearing impurities and dead skin cells, and helping skin cells renew to make skin clearer and brighter while maintaining natural moisture content.
This toner has a short ingredient list, which is very appealing for me, as I detest products that I have a high content of alcohol and sulphates. Most of this product comprises of propolis extract and then it contains alcohols (in the order of concentration level).
It also contains tea tree oil which is a well-known anti-acne ingredient. The product comes in a 3.38 fl oz size bottle with a pump dispenser on top. The packaging is opaque and sturdy. The pump is easy to work with dispenses pea-sized product on each pump. The bottle is easy to store and is travel friendly.
I apply this toner on my face once my face right after cleansing. It is runny like a toner and is easy to spread on face and dries rather quickly without leaving a sticky residue behind. It adds no shine or moisture to face.
The product has no fragrance or color. It contains black bee propolis, but does not feel tacky on face. I have been using it over a month a now and although I have not notice a dramatic change in my skin texture, my skin certainly feels softer and pores appears smaller.

- Comes in a good size bottle with a pump dispenser on top. The packaging is sturdy and opaque.

- Ingredient list is clearly disclosed in English (not usually done by other Korean brands).
- It has a small ingredient list and that’s a positive point for me.
- Made my skin softer and pores smaller.
Cons of Cosrx Natural BHA Skin Returning A-Sol:
- Availability can be an issue for some but some Korean websites do ship to India as well.
- This product is also sold on Ulta and amazon websites.
- Some people claim to have an allergic reaction to this toner, so a patch test is mandatory.
Do I Recommend Cosrx Natural BHA Skin Returning A-Sol?
It is an affordable face toner which acts as a perfect first step in my skin care routine. I invest in Korean skin care a lot and I am glad that most of them are not disappointing.
