I have been on the lookout for a good facial cleanser that would lather decently, clean face and wouldn’t strip skin of its natural moisture, especially since my skin is very dry to begin with. I have tried a few drugstore brands such as Aveeno, Cerave, Cetaphil and so on, but although, they were not as drying, they were not as clarifying as I desired, so I continued my search and finally decided to add this face wash to my Korean skin care haul.
Start the day right by treating your skin to a mild and gentle cleanser with a low pH that effectively removes excess oil and dead skin. Formulated with tea tree oil and natural BHA to refine skin texture, the Good Morning Gel Cleanser’s pH level is the closest to your skin’s natural pH levels and leaves skin soft, moist and refreshed without stripping it of its natural oils.
My Experience with Cosrx Low pH Good Morning Gel Cleanser:
This facial cleanser’s pH level (acid-base content) is similar to that of our skin and is formulated such that it doesn’t strip it of its natural oils and moisture. Controlled pH level in skin care products is a new fad in skin care industry and important to maintain skin’s moisture content – apparently there are several studies backing this claim.
It also contains BHA (Beta Hydroxy Acids) which is a very popular skin exfoliant and is known to remove dead cells and help in skin rejuvenation. With regular use, it helps diminish fine lines and wrinkles, make skin firmer, add moisture, repair textured skin and reduce uneven skin tone. BHA is also known to reduce appearance of clogged pores.
I have been using this face wash twice daily and it was satisfying to note that it doesn’t dry out my skin or give that stretchy feeling to skin as most face washes do, so apparently controlled pH level and BHA does work and also prevents dry skin.
It also contains tea tree oil which is evident by its fragrance. Tea Tree oil is a very popular skin care ingredient which fights acne and pimple and has anti-bacterial properties.
The product comes in a white, 150ml tube with a flip cap on top. The product is thick gel like in consistency and is clear in color. The packaging and whole concept is very no-nonsense type and is very appealing and affordable at the same time. I enjoy using it twice daily and this product is worth the money.
It is an affordable face wash which does what it claims to do. It comes in a generous quantity, has a soothing aroma, add moisture to skin and easily removes dirt and makeup. I enjoy using this face wash every day and recommend it to others as well.
