Hi IMBB Lovelies!
After several weeks, I was able to write another review to share.
I think I am making it so obvious for everyone who knows me that I love makeup. Recently, I’ve been receiving makeup as gifts from friends and family. They know what makes me happy. Hihihi. For example, a cousin of mine from States gave us makeup which she told us she got from clearance sale. She’s generous yet frugal like me. One such product I received from her and will share a review with you is this Covergirl Shine Blast Lip Gloss in Beam shade.
My Experience with Covergirl Shine Blast Lip Gloss in Beam Shade:
CoverGirl Shine Blast Lip Glosses are packaged in cylindrical transparent tube with doe foot applicator attached to the silver cap. I like how I can clearly see the orangey/ peachy gloss from the outside. Each tube has got 4ml of product in it. The packaging is very simple and ordinary but I find it really nice.
Lip glosses do wonders for ladies who have thin and small lips like me. The shine it imparts creates an illusion of fuller lips. Not only lipsticks but even glosses come in hundreds of shades with variety of undertones now. And that made me want to explore on glosses after so many years of ignoring them. Among the glosses handed to me by my cousin, I picked this CoverGirl Shine Blast in Beam shade because its color. It has orangey/ peachy tint to it. It looks adorable in the tube. Plus, peach is one nice shade to wear during the summer right? Shine Blast in Beam shade appears really sheer on my lips giving only very, very, very little peachy tint on it. The unevenness of my lip tone peeks through this gloss so I prefer using this over a peach matte or low shine lipstick. It does have few fine shimmers which make lips appear plumper but it is nothing so obvious or over the top.
It has sweet smell to it but it has no taste which I like. It is lightweight on lips but of course, lipsticks are lighter. It is not sticky in a sense that you can press your lips together and would not feel awkward stickiness. It’s a kind of gloss where your hair would stick to when it touches your lips. The light peachy to almost nothing tint and the shine stays on my lips for less than hour and both won’t survive a meal either.
CoverGirl Shine Blast In Beam Shade – What I Like:
-Sweet scent and no taste.
-High shine and few micro shimmers.
-It does not dry my lips.
-It is affordable for around $5.
CoverGirl Shine Blast In Beam Shade – What I don’t like:
-Short shelf life since it is more prone to contamination.
-Very low color payoff.
-Stayed an hour or even less on lips.
-I still see some shops here selling Shine Blast but this product has been discontinued.
-Ingredients are not indicated on the label.
Because of the sheerness of this CoverGirl Shine Blast Gloss, I only find it okay to use over my lipsticks. If you already have clear glosses, you may skip this as I feel it is too close to being clear. I do not think I will repurchase as I love those glosses which are more pigmented and longer lasting too, like Maybelline Colorsensational High Shine Glosses which renewed my love for glosses. Thank you ladies for reading and always wear beauty!
