E.L.F Dramatic lash kit and Individual lash kit review
E.L.F(Eyes Lips Face)’s lashes kit($1 each) was the first time I tried fake eyelashes.
I didn’t know what to expect when I got these $1 lashes, but to my surprise they looked pretty good. They are available in black or brown color, I got both in black color.
According to the ELF website, the kit is marketed as-
No Mess lash beautification is here! Get those instantly intensified lashes for any occasion, any day! Easy application and comfort grip gel allows for multiple uses so you can repeatedly achieve those batty lashes that will make any guy swoon…
What does the kit contain?
The kit contains
• Contour tray
• Lashes
• A tube of lash adhesive gel
How does one use it?
• Gently remove lash from tray.
• Pierce the top of the adhesive tube and apply a thin amount of glue along the entire length of the lash strip.
• Allow glue to sit until tacky, then place lashes as close to the baseline of your own lashes as possible, working from the center out.
• Hold the lash in place for a few seconds until the last strip has a chance to hold.
• Apply mascara if desired
• To remove lashes hold a warm damp towel to the eye and gently peel off false lashes from the root.
• Replace on contour tray for reshaping and continuous wear.
For a first timer, I think both these kits are really good. Although I have decent natural lashes, I really wanted to try and see the effects of false lashes. For a first timer, getting the lashes on was really difficult and requiring a lot of patience and steady hands. The individual lash kit is much easy, you just dot one lash with glue, let the glue dry for a bit and then place them where you would like thicker lash look. Placing 2 or three towards the end of the eyelash line can achieve that glamorous/flirty look.
The dramatic lash kit needs to be placed carefully and using forceps help a lot. It took me a lot of time getting them on the first time but that could be just me being not very dexterous
handling them. The first time I tried them they were really natural looking yet very glamorous. Eyeliner helps hide the false eyelash line and mascaras help them blend better.
To sum it up-
Pros of E.L.F Eye Lash Kit
-Great value for a dollar.
-Looks natural.
-Individual lashes are great to add lashes in specific areas.
-Reusable.
Cons of E.L.F Eye Lash Kit
-A bit difficult to get them on, especially first time.
-Might have to trim them a bit to fit the length of lash line
-Glue is not good, works ok for first few times.
-Not easily available in India.
Conclusion :
I really recommend them for people trying out lashes for the first time, both these kits are decent for the price. Putting them on might take some patience but really worth it for a special occasion. For stronger use I suggest buying a much better glue.
I love falsies….I have ordered from NYX….hope I get it soon!!

I know, I have to try to practice to put them on…it takes me long time to get them on! But I really like the individual ones.
I had such non-branded tacky ones before…that I am an expert now with placing false lashes…. 😛 They use to give me so much pain!!!
Now am dying to try NYX ones :))

I love most of their products, have not been disappointed from any of the things I got. Its depends on you- I love their powder/cream blushes, round lipsticks, slim lip pencils and glosses. Their jumbo eye pencils are also pretty good.
