e.l.f. Studio Small Angled Brush Review

e.l.f. Studio Small Angled Brush

Hey there!

The gel eyeliner trend has taken the world by storm. It’s smudge proof and long wearing formula has garnered it numerous fans. It is a very versatile yet simple cosmetic product that requires a tool for precise application.

Most drugstore gel liners while being brilliant products themselves don’t always have a brilliant applicator to match. That being said, I am sure that there are numerous exceptions. I was on the lookout for an inexpensive small angled brush for eons. It is supposed to be one of the easiest brushes for applying gel liner.Read on to see if the brush I am reviewing is my HG product or not.

Packaging

The brush comes in a plastic pouch that has a tucked in flap. This pouch helps keep the brush bristles in place while travelling, making a separate brush holder redundant. This travel proofs the brush brilliantly well. All information regarding this brush is printed on a silver sheet and tucked into the pouch. Despite being incredibly informative, one can remove it to reduce the space taken up by the packaging.

My take on thee.l.f. Studio Small Angled Brush:

I can’t stress how much I love this product. I really can’t! This was one of my first brushes from e.l.f. and I have been using it almost every day for the past one year. It is so incredibly versatile that I use it for a range of functions in my makeup regime.

I obviously use it for applying my e.l.f. Gel Eyeliners and Maybelline Gel Eyeliner. It make either a thin or thick line with ease and works brilliantly for making that perfect cat’s eye flick. It can also be used to smudge your eyeliner or kohl for that perfect sultry seductress look.

I also use it to apply eyeshadow over my eyeliner and kohl to set the products and make them last all day. My mom sometimes uses this brush to fill in her sparse eyebrows with a brow powder. I don’t use it for this purpose because I have very defined eyebrows but it works pretty well for that too. This is my travel lip brush in case I forget my e.l.f. Studio Small Precision Brush at home. It is so incredibly versatile and inexpensive that I can’t imagine using any other brush of this type. Even after using it for over a year it is as good as it was when I bought it. I have seen no shedding of bristles from this suitably dense brush. That minor bristle separation that you see in the picture is because I forgot to reshape the bristles after washing them.

The only con, so to speak is that you need to wash it after using it to apply gel liner otherwise the product will solidify in the bristles making it impossible to use the next time around. But with a low drying time of a few minutes, this is an incredibly hard proposition.

    1. Thank you *jalwa*

Actually elf has 3 ranges- Essential, Mineral and Studio. The Studio line is mostly priced at $3 and the blogging world is more or less in love with this particular range because of it’s affordable pricing but still decent quality products.

Hope that cleared it upi for you. *hifive*
