ELF 100 Piece Marble Eyeshadow Palette Review

ELF 100 Piece Marble Eyeshadow Palette Review

Hi Friends,

Today’s review is of my last product from ELF – it’s the ELF Studio 100 Piece Marble Eyeshadow Palette.  I picked this one along with the palette from ELF which I reviewed earlier. I actually intended to give it to my sister, but they are so pretty that I am keeping both and will purchase two more for her in my next haul InshaAllah. Though I am not an expert at creating eye makeup looks, I hope I shall be one day and then these palettes will be utilized fully; till then, I am just mesmerized by the rainbow shades in them. My first introduction to ELF palettes was through an online store, but those ELF Sunset Palettes carried a huge shipping price! So, I let go of them and asked my mother to bring these when she came back from Europe.  So, people living on this side of the border will have to pay extra bucks for the usual ELF products. Let’s move on to the review.

ELF 100 Piece Marble Eyeshadow Palette

Product Description:

Become your own makeup artist with our amazing Professional Eyeshadow Palette from the luxurious Studio line of cosmetics. In this complete Makeup Artist Eyeshadow Set, you will find everything to go from dark and smoky eyes to fresh and bright, to totally funky looks, thanks to the 100 eyeshadow colours in every set.

Price:

£15 in UK and $10 in USA for a net weight of 90 gm.  I got it from UK and felt not so good while paying an exaggerated price for the palette.

My Take on ELF 100 Piece Marble Eyeshadow Palette:

Packaging:

The palette comes in a card box which makes it look very sleek, but the plastic material of the palette is of low quality and feels cheap. Covered with a transparent lid, most of the shades sneak out from the palette pans and convince you well to purchase them. ELF Cosmetics has taken good care in making the palette look attractive, the shades are well managed and well chosen.  The quality of the product is good, but the packaging is average. A small mirror and two dual-end sponge applicators are included in the palette. The applicators are quite small in size and good for taking swatches only; all make-up junkies must know sponge applicators are not the first choice to apply eyeshadows.

Texture and Finish:

The finely milled and velvety soft eyeshadow texture came as a surprise to me as I didn’t expect it. The texture is very smooth and not gritty. Just a few shades are soft and need a soft hand with brush strokes to prevent breakage of chunks from their surface. With very little fallout, the palette is not filthy messy and can be kept neat with little maintenance. The palette contains great variation in finish of eye shades; some shades are matte, some are satin and few are shimmery, but the different thing is the presence of a few marble textured eye shadows. Great!

Pigmentation and Colours:

The pigmentation won’t disappoint you. I rate the overall pigmentation really good and praise worthy. Dark shades are great in pigmentation, medium ones too good and lighter shades work fine too with decent pigmentation. Just a few shades need to be worked upon.  All shades are arranged in 10 x 10 rectangular pans.  Versatility and diversity is evident from the shade selection. You will most probably find every shade, more or less, complying with your demands. You can see the shades in the clicks and luckily the camera could capture the real shades as seen by n*ked eye.

Longevity:

They last good for 3 hours average with full intensity, after which they fade a bit, but still look charming. However, the soft textured eyeshadows spread a little around. Very few light eye shades are somewhat chalky but not too bad either; rest all shades will please completely.

Cons of ELF 100 Piece Marble Eyeshadow Palette:

  • Contains parabens.

Would I Recommend/Repurchase ELF 100 Piece Marble Eyeshadow Palette?

Girls, I have got enough huge multi-shaded palettes from MUA, BH Cosmetics and ELF; so I can’t repurchase this. I love investing my bucks in lip products no matter if I have a huge stash already. But I do recommend the palette without any doubt. Have a lovely day and keep smiling :))
