Seeing as I ripped off my bro, to ship out ELF products I have an amazingly ginormous stash to review! *hihi* I purchased 2 cream eyeliners- Black and Teal Tease. Black has already been reviewed, so I am going to go ahead with a review on the latter.
The cream formula creates smooth lines that are defined and precise. Smudge-proof, budge-proof and water-resistant coverage for all day wear to combat against sweat, tears or rain! Achieve thin or bold lines with ease; Slanted Eyeliner Brush included.
Directions of use:
Dip the thin angled brush into the formula, swirl around gently until brush is saturated with colour. Swipe off any excess formula on the top edge of the pot. Trace a line along the top lash line from the inner corner towards the outer corner of the eye. If desired, apply on lower lash line as well. Remove with an oil based eye makeup remover.
Isododecane, Hydrogenated Polyisobutene, Polybutene, Polyethylene, Barium Sulfate, Cyclomethicone, Disteardimonium Hectorite, Polyglyceryl-4 Isostearate, Propylene Carbonate, Iron Oxides (CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499), Titanium Dioxide (CI77891), Red No.40 Lake (CI 16035), Mica (CI 77019), Blue No.1 Lake (CI 42090), Ferric Ferrocyanide (CI 77510), Ultramarine Violet (CI77077).
It comes in a cute but bulky plastic, thick bottomed tub which is travel friendly. Plastic generally dries out gel liners faster than glass ones, so it’s best to store this product inverted.
My take on ELF Cream Eyeliner- Teal Tease:
I adore blue liners and to find such a unique shade of blue at this price point is astounding. But while I love the shade, it is more of a metallic turquoise than a true teal. It’s distinctly creamier than the black liner and this creaminess reduces its longevity marginally, which can be remedied by using a light dusting of setting powder. It has golden glitter in it, which makes it harder to apply it smoothly. Even application over a large area (if you are using it as an eyeshadow base) is a hassle, and needs to be done patiently.
It isn’t as opaque as the black liner and needs to be layered to build up the right intensity. While it gives a brilliant pop of colour, this shade cannot define your eyes. The liner brush included is small handled but fluffy. It can help you make thick lines but trying to make thin ones is a lost cause. It’s very easy to clean and looks absolutely cute. The liner dries up over time and separates from the container, so if you tilt it it falls right out. My eyeliner had the same mishap, which lead to it being stepped on. *cry* Now I no longer use it, at least till I can purchase a non-alcoholic makeup cleansing spray.
Pros of ELF Cream Eyeliner- Teal Tease:
2. Cute and travel safe packaging.
3. Unique colour.
4. Long lasting.
5. Easy to remove.
6. ELF products are not tested on animals.
Cons of ELF Cream Eyeliner- Teal Tease:
1.Not opaque in one stroke.
2. Applies patchily over a large area.
3. Metallic finish (may be a pro for some).
4. Application is a hassle.
5. Not easily available.
Would I repurchase ELF Cream Eyeliner- Teal Tease?
Another color? Definitely! A little goes a long way for this product.
