Though I am not a lip gloss person but I pick one at times or have to accept because sometimes they are included in certain deals and value sets. Today’s product review is about Elizabeth Arden High Shine Lip Gloss in shade Sparkle. Let’s see how this fared for me.

My Experience with Elizabeth Arden High Shine Lip Gloss – Sparkle:
This gloss comes in a square sectioned tube with a functional doe foot applicator. I was glad to see square tube, because round ones are too common now. The cap closes tight, the packaging is light weight and the applicator is great as it picks just the right amount of product.
The formula of the lip gloss is light and intensely moisturising. When applied initially, it feels slightly sticky but the feeling of stickiness vanishes in a couple of minutes after the lip gloss has set. It is fragrance free and carries a non-greasy and light feel. The shade sparkle is a clear gloss with silver sparkle chunks. When seen in bottle, it convinces you that the amount of sparkles will turn you into a disco ball, but that is just a delusion.
When applied, a small amount of sparkles is transferred to lips, which do not look over shiny or weird. However, since the gloss is clear, it doesn’t look attractive or adds a nice look to overall face (especially when you have pigmented lips). The product better be used as a top coat for matte lipsticks.
The longevity is superb. It lasts up to 8 hours with regular fluid intake. It even survives a proper meal with all moisture kept intact on lips. The lip gloss is a blessing for dry lips. The shimmer particles scatter a bit here and there, but a wet tissue does the job neatly.

• Doesn’t hide lip pigmentation.
• Doesn’t look good when worn alone.

Would I Recommend/Repurchase Elizabeth Arden High Shine Lip Gloss – Sparkle?
I definitely recommend the range as the formula is impressive. I will think about repurchasing in some tinted shade, not the clear one again.
