I bought this shadow thinking about the multiple ways I could put it to use. This could be my brow bone highlighter, cheek bone highlighter, and nose highlighter. The color suits my skin tone, so I waited no more and picked it up from Wilko, UK.

My Experience with Essence The Grammy Goes Glammy Mono Eyeshadow:

I would say Essence has an Elle 18 feel. The display at Wilko was so inviting and I had to pick up a lot of Essence stuff. The cute packaging and the price factor were the cherries on the cake. They had an entire nude shade collection too, but that would not show up on my skin tone at all, hence had to skip that. Meanwhile, I bought some blushes and this shadow to put to multiple uses.

“The Grammy Goes Glammy” is a cream-ish shimmer color, not too white or shiny. The shimmer is very fine but it scatters everywhere. Like I thought, it makes a great highlight color for the face, but there are major issues with the shadow. The color is pigmented but it vanishes when lightly blended. It melts so easily and needs a solid base to stay.

On my oily skin, it hardly lasts an hour or two. You can use it over your foundation so that it would stick on. The shimmer though fine, could be annoying when it spreads around.

Most skin tones can carry this shade as highlight or lid color, but you will have to think about a base for it to cling on. I am chuffed at the lasting power, I wish it stuck on to the skin better, otherwise, it’s a great color to own.
