FabIndia Avocado Foot Cream Review

FabIndia Avocado Foot Cream Review

A big hello to all you sweeties (makeup and skincare product hoarders in disguise) like me. Before reading IMBB I knew myself as the only hoarder of all the lovely (and some useless) cosmetic products out there. Now I feel more confident and secure with the knowledge that I have so many soul mates out there, who like me love experimenting with new looks and taking good care of themselves. So, I will begin by thanking all of you out there for boosting my confidence and helping me in making more informed purchases.
For my first post, I was searching for a product to review from my daily routine. Most of the products from my daily regimen have already being reviewed on IMBB, so I decided to review one of my current favorite products, which is the FabIndia Avocado Foot Cream. Unlike most people, I suffer from cracked heels not during the winter months, but after the winter season is over. So, I was on the lookout for a foot cream since the beginning of March when the weather started to become a little warm. In the past, I have used FabIndia heel balm and oriflame foot cream. So, this time I decided to use a new foot cream. My search led me to the FabIndia Avocado Foot Cream.

Before beginning the review, I must mention that I am always on the lookout for products with natural extracts for my skin and body care. Thus, I am a diehard fan of brands such as FabIndia, TBS, Lush, Forest Essentials etc.
To begin with I would mention that the FabIndia Avocado Foot Cream comes in a 100gm jar which is reasonably priced at Rs. 150.

The jar mentions the ingredients as :

Directions for use: Store in a cool dry place away from direct sunlight. Use before 18 months from the date of mfg.

As you can see from the above picture the texture of the Foot Cream is a bit like jelly and a bit like cream. The Foot Cream has a mild to a non-existant smell, about which there is not much to write. When I scooped out the Foot Cream for the first time, I honestly did not like the feel of the cream on my fingers. But once I applied it on my heels and feet, the Foot Cream was absorbed into the skin almost instantly (under a minute). It leaves a very light creamy feel to the skin after application. That could be because I applied too much of the Foot Cream for the first use. But actually you require a very small amount of the Foot Cream for moisturization. I basically use the Foot Cream before going to sleep (as the last thing) on my heels and feet.
The pictures below show the Foot Cream applied on my hand both before and after rubbing in the product.

As you can see, it feels as if nothing has been applied on my hand in the second picture, but the skin feels incredibly softer when touched.

But still it had to pass the test of being a good foot cream by healing my cracked heels. So, I slept the night thinking that the product may or may not pass this tough test. But, my oh my, I was in for a surprise the very next morning. I had less visible cracks on my heels along with incredibly soft feet.
FabIndia products have a habit of slowly growing upon you day by day and this Foot Cream is not an exception to this rule. I have been using this Foot Cream for more than a month now and as you can see from the second picture the jar is still almost full. This is because of the small quantity that is required everyday. And my feet are super soft and all the cracks have healed really well.

So, at this price the foot cream is value for money. I think it will last me atleat for the next six months.
And yes, even though I wanted a foot cream, I did not want something which would make my skin too oily or would make my bed sheets oily. This cream passes all these tests, as it does not make my skin oily after application.

Pros of the FabIndia Avocado Foot Cream:

• Value for money
• Non-oily
• Absorbs super fast leaving softer and smoother skin
• Does what it promises, i.e. heals cracked heels
• No artificial smell

Cons of the FabIndia Avocado Foot Cream:

• Contains parabens
• Comes in a tub and you have to dig out the product with your fingers

Will I repurchase the product: definitely as it has given me the softest feet.

    1. hi ankita, i got faces ki “pink wine” lisptick today from the moisture rich range and one peach love matte lip cream. i was going to buy the aqua pencil too but resisted…thought mite buy if i get o c u else no…have to control my expenses na

      1. I want to see swatches of both please!! Wht is peach love matte lip cream? Is it the small jar balm like thing? I saw something like that at Faces. I got some stuff from Lotus and got a nice big box and a lip gloss free- I didn’t like the shade then but the options were limited but its pretty amazing- its precious peach shade I think. Came back and read your review on lotus lip gloss! Me going back to pick more of those glosses!
Btw the delhi plan is mostly scrapped 🙁 I guess it’ll be ur Mumbai trip in June now ?:)

        1. i did not like the smell of lotus glosses for some reason. yesterday i was thinkin of buying one faces ki gloss then did not as i don’t really end up using glosses much. whenever i do, my 3 tbs tube glosse suffice.peach love is the name of a shade from the faces matte lip cream range. i have another red shade so might review both. in mumbai, i had seen an orange shade in the lip cream which i havent spotted anywhere else! n now i want it! i will put up swatches of oink wine in my next faces review. and i got another bourjois pencil yeterday :lol2:

sad that u won’t be able to come to delhi!

          1. i also saw a shade called” mad about mauve” from the revlon super lustros range and it was such a pretty pink! faces also has a shade called” first lady” in the moisture range…actually both pink wine n first lady r simlar whe swatched….but first lady is more peachy browny while pink wine is more pinky

            1. FACES reccos overload!! Sadly I’m in my hometown right now so no access to Faces to me for the next ten days 🙁 But when I’m back to Mumbai I’ll check out all these shades. I’m wearing my Lotus peach gloss everyday these days…I hated the shade when I saw it but there weren’t many options since it was a free product. Now I love this gloss!! I wore it with peach creme and the result was such a nice orangey peach! Mixing it with nude lipsticks to get a peachy effect :yahoo:

  6. Lovelyyyyyyyy…I dont get cracked heels, but my feet and toes look quite rough and man-like!! 😐 😐 I might give this a try to soften them up!! 😀 😀 Good review Kumkum!! :waytogo: :waytogo: :waytogo: :waytogo: :waytogo: :waytogo: :waytogo: :waytogo: :waytogo:
