Just like most of females, I am also a sucker for lipsticks. And off lately, I have been trying too many Too Faced products because firstly, their packaging is super cute and I just cannot resist. The best thing about this brand is their marketing strategy, which is too strong that it pulls buyers like a magnet attracts iron. Have you seen their store launch in London? It was a treat to the eyes! That is their first store launch and a fairy land. Who wouldn’t give in all the money in such place??? Having said that, today I am going to review a bullet lipstick of Too Faced La Matte Color Drenched Matte Lipstick in the shade “Bachelorette”.

My Experience with Too Faced La Matte Color Drenched Matte Lipstick in Bachelorette:
As always packaging comes first because, that is what we see first. This is an extremely fun printed box in black with lots of stuff written over it in gold and pink, and pretty small flowers all over. I have hardly seen packing like this. Either it’s plain block color or colored with minimum text written on it; this is the general norm, but here too much is going on. Not that I mind, I am just saying it’s different. The bullet is heavier than the usual bullets, and I like it! I am not a fan of light weight stuff, I feel they are cheap (well that’s a personal fetish!). The lipstick is black with “Too Faced” embossed on its side and initials on top.
The lipstick has a sweet vanilla fragrance, not bothersome for me at all. The shade is pinky coral to be exact. When swatched on hands, the texture is creamy matte, but when applied on lips, it looks powdery. It clings to every possible dry path and fine lines. Even after pursing the lips together, this doesn’t smoothen. It looks powdery and there is a lot of tugging and pulling. I was disappointed to see this actually, since I wanted these to rock.
The good thing here was staying power. It stayed all day long with snacks, tea and lunch.
The color gave my lips a plush pinky look all day. So, if some way you can manage the powdery mess, then this is a great color for everyday wear and it looks fresh. It was indeed a one swipe matter and I don’t have to go on and on smearing the lipstick to get a good color pay off. I would suggest you all to prepare your lips overnight before putting this on.
I did feel that it’s a little heavy on lips, but then seems to get normal after a couple of hours. This lipstick does not bleed or feather, but stays intact, being creamy matte and not completely matte, it does transfer.

- Transfers (not really a con actually, because we know the deal with creamy matte).

Any misses at this price point is a NO for me. Unfortunately, I have bought 2 of these, but not any more. Do give a try on your lips before buying.
