My Experience with Fenty Beauty Pro Filt’r Soft Matte Longwear Foundation:

The packaging of the product is simple yet classy. The foundation comes in a frosted finish, glass bottle like, exactly like that of the primer. The bottle comes with a pump dispenser, which helps to take out the product easily. The dispenser and the cap of the bottle are white in color and look really nice. The cap shuts very securely, making this bottle fit for travel purposes. The brand’s tagline is embossed on the bottle in white font.

There is a transparent sticker at the base of the bottle bearing the shade number and product name on it. The see-through bottle helps to keep an eye on the amount of the product left inside while the pump dispenser is great for easy dispensing of the product and hygiene purposes. This bottle comes housed in a strong and beautiful black and beige kind of cardboard box with the entire necessary product-related information printed on it. The shade number is mentioned on top of this box as well. Overall, the packaging is just amazing and I do not have any complaints from the packaging of the product.

The foundation has been launched in a wide range of 40 shades to meet the requirement of every complexion, with even a little difference in undertone. We all know that it is really hard to find a foundation with perfect undertone match and I have never come across a foundation that matches my skin tone so well that it does not even look like I have any makeup on my face. This is insanely good! I must say, this foundation is really amazing and totally life changing. The shade I have picked is “270” which is Medium Warm – it’s the perfect match for my skin tone. The foundation has an extremely mild fragrance, which is barely noticeable. It is super easy to blend. For me, it blends the best with a Beauty Blender and sometimes I use my fingers to blend it into the skin. It blends amazingly!

The foundation sets within a minute and looks very natural on the skin. So, you have to be quick while blending out the foundation. It does not oxidize at all (at least not for me). It has a soft matte finish and does not look flat on the skin. Most of the full coverage foundations give a monotonous look, but not in this case. Though, it does not contain any sheen or shimmer in it, but still it adds some dimension to the face on its own. It starts building with medium coverage and can be built up to full coverage by adding layers as the brand claims.

It covers all imperfections of the skin like any redness or acne marks and leaves flawless, natural-looking skin behind. Also, it helps to create a smoother complexion and makes a smoother canvas on my skin. And, I am glad that my skin looks really natural. My skin pores look smaller than before. Two to three layers of the foundation are good enough to build up full coverage, but upon building too much product, it is pretty obvious that this will not look too natural anymore, but still it does not look cakey or heavy. The brand claims it to be a sweat-proof and waterproof foundation. And, I must say that it does live upto what it claims. The weather is so hot here and the foundation stays fresh all the time and once it sets, does not budge at all. It does not accentuate facial pores or fine lines. Also, my skin breaks out really easily, but this one does not break me out at all.

This Fenty Beauty foundation lasts easily for 8-9 hours on my combination skin with a primer underneath. It does not make my skin oily at all and I do not need anything to blot excess oil for almost 4-5 hours after application. This foundation is great for all skin types but those with dry skin need to prep their skin well to prevent it from clinging on to their dry patches due to its mattifying formula.
