My Experience with Forest Essentials Kshudrabija Deeply Nourishing Facial Cleansing Paste:

I recently picked up a few Forest Essentials products for skin and hair care. Thanks to all the reviewers of FE products on IMBB. I was advised by their consultant to use this cleansing paste only once a week since my skin tends to become acne prone in summers. She also mentioned that if I have no acne issues, I can use it regularly. The first time I opened this jar, my eyes and nose were in for a treat; it smells delicious and is so tempting that I felt like tasting it. It’s a toffee coloured finely ground rich paste, which applies and spreads smoothly when applied with wet hands on moist skin.

The granules are very finely ground. However, they feel a bit rough if applied directly on dry skin surface. This paste needs to be applied on moist skin with wet hands. Since it is a jar packaging and no spatula is provided, I use my personal spatula and take out the required quantity in a small dish. I gently apply it on a moist face with wet hands in a circular motions and then, using wet hands, remove the paste whilst exfoliating my skin in circular motions. It does not wash off easily and takes a little extra time and effort to get rinsed. This cleansing paste has a gummy, fudge-like consistency and needs to be moistened continuously to be washed thoroughly.

It gently exfoliates my face without stripping its natural oils and moisture content. It also deeply nourishes and replenishes my skin. My skin feels thoroughly cleansed, soft and supple. However, it is a bit too strong for my sensitive skin type and my cheeks tend to redden up easily after cleansing this. It takes a day or two for this effect to wear off. I prefer using it in the evening rather than morning as cleansing with paste is a little time consuming process and mainly because my skin tends to secret extra oil during day time in summers and the reddening effect it gives to my cheeks reduces by next morning. It has not caused any breakouts but the fact that it is slightly strong for my sensitive skin is disappointing. When diluted with rose water, the reddening effect is much lesser.

This cleansing paste is a traditional blend of rich, pure, and natural ingredients. Almond oil keeps the skin moisturised and deeply nourished. Pistachio nourishes the skin and helps protect the skin from UV rays and premature ageing. Turmeric is an antiseptic and healing agent; it not only helps clear acne scars and inflammation but also reduces oil secretion by sebaceous glands. Honey helps protect the skin from the damage of UV rays, absorbs impurities from the pores on the skin and replenishes skin moisture, leaving it feeling soft and supple.

Forest Essentials Kshudrabija Deeply Nourishing Facial Cleansing Paste Swatch

In my opinion, acne prone and sensitive skin type can skip this cleansing paste. I have still not used this product during winters and hence cannot comment. The quantity is too less for the price. A jar of 30 grams is too less to suffice for a month if used on a daily basis. I like their jar packaging but, in my opinion, they should provide a spatula for hygiene purpose.
