Hello beauty conscious ladies!!!
I purchased this mask along with Freeman Charcoal and Black Sugar Mud Mask which I absolutely love, but I am not sure if I can say the same for this product. Keep reading to know why I have mixed feelings about this face mask.
To wake up with dewy skin, you have to hydrate while you sleep! Our overnight sleeping mask with antioxidant-rich Honeydew and calming Chamomile is just the thing for rejuvenating skin.Deep moisturizing Coconut Oil makes rough skin a thing of the past, and Dimethicone dramatically smooths. Conditioning Jojoba Oil and moisture-binding Silk Amino Acids deeply nourish. Rinse upon waking to reveal well-rested skin that’s ready to face the day! Perfect for dry skin.
At night smooth a generous amount evenly over cleansed face. The mask absorbs like a cream, meaning you can wear it without worrying about getting any product on your pillows. Rinse off in the morning.
My Experience with Freeman Honeydew and Chamomile Sleeping Mask:
After purchasing it, I realized that this mask has to be kept on overnight, which essentially makes it a night cream. This, in fact, put me off since this was not what I was looking for. But, instead of returning it, I wanted to give it a fair shot.
The product comes in plastic sachet, the way we get samples of lotions and moisturizers. It has to be cut to get the product out. However, I didn’t cut all the way through; just a small ‘V’ cut to get small quantity out at a time.
It looks and feels like any other face lotion. It is not greasy or oily and does feel hydrating while being applied on the face and neck. Once absorbed by the skin, one can feel it on the skin only for a couple of minutes after which skin feels as if nothing was ever applied.
This product claims to be hydrating for skin which means it should be high in moisture and essential oils, but like I mentioned earlier, once applied, the skin feels as if nothing was ever applied. The ‘hydrating properties’ claim seems like a joke since my skin felt super dehydrated on using this product. I love the ingredients lists of this product; honeydew and chamomile literally beckon one to buy it. but unfortunately they are mere claims with no commendable effects.
However, I did try to put this product to some use and used it as a massage cream. Recently, I have included Chinese facial in my skincare routine, which requires a massage cream or a facial oil, but I use Eucerin Aquaphor Healing Ointment for massage. But, since this Freeman Mask turned out to be such a dud, I decided to use it as a facial cream. It did a good job, but nothing outstanding! I still prefer my good old Aquaphor.
Pros of Freeman Honeydew and Chamomile Sleeping Mask:
• Good packaging, but I wish it had a nozzle too.
• Freeman has several other facial masks for different skin types.
• Mild musk melon fragrance.
• Can be used 4 to 5 times, once the pack is opened.
• Can be used for facial massages.
Cons of Freeman Honeydew and Chamomile Sleeping Mask:
• Does not provide moisture or hydration.
• Face mask is a deceiving name; should be a night cream.
• Leaves skin dry.
Would I Repurchase Freeman Honeydew and Chamomile Sleeping Mask?
Not this particular product, but Freeman has lot of other skin care products which I would love to try and since they are only for $2, they are definitely worth a try. But, don’t try this particular variant.
